Laugh, smile, and best of all it pulled at my heart strings!
All of my reviews of lesbian romance novels can be found at http://theromanticreaderblog.com/I adore this book. It made me laugh, smile, and best of all it pulled at my heart strings. I have read quite a few of Lynn Galli's novels, this one in my humble opinion is her best. It is amazing! I have read a plethora (love that word) of a romance novels and this is absolutely one of the best.Right from the start of the book you are thrown into the crazy world of wedding planning. The main character is the maid of honor, Skye, and while she is happy for the bride and groom, she is anti-wedding. WHAT! Our other main character is Ainsley. Ainsley just happens to be the groom's best woman and cousin. Small world is these two happened to be college roommates at Columbia, and are not exactly on best terms. Foes if you will. Thanks to the fast paced world of news reporting, the bride and groom jet off in the middle of planning their wedding to catch a new story. Skye and Ainsley are left holding the bag and forced to spend copious amounts of time together planning the dream wedding of their friends. These two banter, like an old married couple. They are witty and terribly funny a t the expense of the others feelings. Their dislike for each other makes for a fascinating progression from animosity to love. This is solid romance filled with humor, friendship and great storytelling. I wanted to start it again as soon as I finished. You will not be disappointed, One Off is fantastic.

a beautiful story
This was a lovely story. Great characters and plenty of drama and romance. Dallas & Collins part was well thought out and their characters very believable. I liked the little troubles they had in communicating outside of work. People in a communications job having so much difficulty actually listening to what the other was really saying. Sky and Ainsley were very fascinating characters. I loved the constant bickering that couldn't hide the feelings they were both trying so hard to deny. Being forced together to pull Dallas & Collins wedding together really gave them an eye opening experience. They got to see the real people behind their preconceived notions. It took them so long to admit to the feeling neither one of them could deny any more. This was a wonderful story of people falling in love and finding their One-Off. Another winner for Lynn Galli. I've yet to be disappointed by one oh tales. A very fun and wonderful read.

Awesome Enemies to Lovers
Lynn Galli did a fantastic job in the writing of this book. Love the characters bickering and the details about wedding planning the author put into her story.

Takes awhile for love to happen
I love this author. I have nearly every book she's written and have not been disappointed yet. This one is a bit different in that it is set in the northeast rather than the northwest where most of her stories are set. At first I was annoyed that the characters were so angry at one another but as the story progressed more of their backgrounds came out and it was enjoyable waiting for the inevitable love affair to happen.

Light hearted romance
I read all the books in this series and loved everyone. The draw of how the main two come to realize they are perfect for each other. Highly recommend highly.

A fun read
Great sex! That should sell it. A fun long drawn out story of a wedding planned and gone wrong until it all went right.

Slow start, but worthwhile read
I started out not loving this book, but after a slow start, you get used to the author’s way of writing. Soon, I couldn’t put it down. It even came to reading in the long lines at Disney World. Enjoyable, with a HEA.

I love Lynn Galli so I am not trying to be ...
I love Lynn Galli so I am not trying to be discouraging at all. She is a wonderful writer. I loved every other book she wrote except this one. Felt like the only thing I read about was how to do a wedding. Didn't start getting interesting until 85% of the book was finished. I was very disappointed but I won't let that change my mind. I am thrilled to begin her next book.

Pure dead brilliant!
I haven't read a Lynn Galli book I haven't enjoyed and this one is no exception. In fact this has become one of my favourites. As soon as I finished reading it I wanted to read it again. Amusing dialogue, a different plot and obviously different voices from the protagonists - and by that I don't just mean the occasional colloquium thrown in for the Scot (which is where the review title came from) The books are not formulaic and the characters well drawn. Usually I don't try to write a plot synopsis as the one with the book does the job - and why would you read a review for a book you know nothing about? However with this book the synopsis is really just the starting point. Let Ms Galli tell you what happens next - she does it really well!If you need a Galli fix in between publications or want a flavour of her style I also recommend her website!

I love this author
I’ve read pretty much all her books and she doesn’t disappoint, and with this there was the added bonus of the Scotland element, it’s great to see my country in books like this. I probably only winced once or twice at the language or wording but overall it was pretty accurate.

Let's hope it is a 'one-off'.
Lynn Galli is one of my favourite authors of lesbian fiction. Blessed Twice, Mending Defects and Imagining Reality are three of my particular favourites, although all her books are a very good read. Unfortunately I did not feel the same way about this book. I found the characters lacked depth, chemistry and the story was rather twee. I'm certain this is a 'one-off ' as Ms Galli is a writer of renown.

Another great book from Lynn Galli
I always look forward to Lynn Galli's books and this is well deserving of 5 stars. Planning a wedding for your best friend with someone you never wanted to see again is difficult enough, but then realising that perhaps you didn't dislike her as much as you thought you did takes us on a romantic journey through the ups and downs of Skye and Ainley's romance. Great job Lynn

Buy it.
Great read. Any book that is well written, has an absorbing story and a satisfying conclusion does it for me. Added bonuses are laugh out loud humour and characters I end up rooting for. All of Lynn Galli's books are consistently good, well worth reading and definitely a cut above average in this genre.
