Wasabi Power NB-13L, NB-15L Battery for Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark III, G5 X, G7 X, G7 X Mark II, G9 X, G9 X Mark II, SX620 HS, SX720 HS, SX730 HS, SX740 HS

When my OEM NB-13L started fading before a vacation, I got one of these Wasabi-branded 3rd party batteries as a replacement (as a gift). That was 4 years ago and it still holding up well. I knew I needed some extended support for the eclipse this year, so I purchased another as a backup. The 4 year old battery ran my camera for nearly 2 hrs (continuously) before I had to swap the battery. I think that's amazing. Even from the start, this battery seemed to last just as long as the OEM did (when the OEM battery was new that is). Anyway, I'm very happy with the original one of these I got and expect this new one to perform well too. It will charge just fine in my Cannon 720, but cannon nerfed the firmware and the camera will not show state of charge reliably for 3rd party batteries and will try to say they are dead when they still have nearly half a charge left in them. The camera will also under-charge them which, ironically, will extend the lifespan of these compared to the OEM. So, if you know you'll need a bit 'extra' camera time--charge from an external source before heading out.

For the most part, the battery is working fine for far. I bought this as a last minute resort for my G7X Mark II for a trip to Disneyland because my original battery is not really holding a charge anymore, and it worked perfectly fine! I got no error message or working message like the comments have said, and it dose give me a battery percentage as well. Charges perfectly fine on my original cannon charger. Working like an original. I was sceptical about buying this battery because there is some negative reviews talking about warning messages and the percentage not showing up but as far as the one I got , I have no complaints so far. Last longer then my original battery! I’m about to buy another one! I would recommend For G7X Mark II

I want a spare battery for my new Canon G5X MkII. Genuine Canon batteries are $40 each. There are many replacements available on the market, but the Canon camera does a neat trick in that it recognizes when there is a non-Canon battery installed. A message appears on the screen the first time the battery is inserted warning of fire and danger. The camera then runs the camera just fine--no problem there. Except, the battery-level indicator doesn't work! Instead of bars showing how much charge is left, the symbol is just a hollow outline of a battery. This is my second attempt at finding a fully-compatible non-Canon battery. I've used Wasabi batteries before and I will keep this one, but I am disappointed! While I just got this battery, my previous experience leads me to believe it will offer the same charge level as the Canon battery, but will need replacing after a year or so. The Canon may well go for two years.

I unpacked the battery and inserted it in my camera and it works fine and is as described. The delivery notes it was delivered directly to the customer and this is true in that the delivery agent dropped the box beside mt gate. We never knew he had been here till we spotted the box. BTW - why use such a big box for such a small item?

I bought this battery in May as a backup for my Canon PowerShot SX740 HS camera. I used it once while on vacation to have a second battery for taking pictures. It stayed in my camera for the last 2 months - and when I took it out to recharge it - it was completely dead. It won't charge, and there is ZERO voltage coming out of it. The Canon charger won't even stay in the CHARGE state. It just shuts off. Don't waste your money on this product. It's a disappointment to spend that kind of money only to get a single use out of it. And it's now past the return period.

Using this battery for a Canon Powershot G7X Mark III, using the provided Canon charger. It charges in about the same time as the Canon battery, but does not hold its charge very long when stored. Usually drains near completely in about 5-6 days.
