Perla Furniture Gray Shag Dark Grey Shaggy Area Rugs 5X7, 5 ft x 7 ft

I was on the fence between a variety of rugs. I wanted something nice, but not outrageously priced as I have kids who tornado through the house daily. I am a strong review reader and buy based on others like or dislike of a product. There were so many ravings reviews about this rug, but sadly, it did not meet my expectations. I did not expect superb quality considering the price, but I expected more based off what others said. I wanted a plain, grey colored rug to tie our bedroom together. It definitely looks appealing in the space, and it is not terrible quality, but it’s not soft or plush at all. I could have bought something of similar quality at Walmart. You can feel the bottom of the rug when you walk on it barefoot. The bottom is also visible through the top because the pile/“shag” is low quality and not covering the whole rug well. It feels somewhat rough in my opinion. I will just say you get what you pay for in this rug. I would have spent double the money if it meant double the quality I am currently getting.

This rug made to be tough and look good. It does that. With two toddlers and six fur kids that's more important to me that oooooh that's soft. I've only had it a week and I've cleaned vomit, grape juice and playdoh out of it. I like that it didn't just slide around without being taped to my newly refinished wood floors. But my favorite part is the color. The true Grey that is so hard to find. No undertone of blue. So I don't think "ooooh soft" when I step on this rug. It's definitely got a semi crunch texture to it. But it feels good on the feet and its warm to lay on while watching TV with the little ones. So I'm happy!

I was looking for an economical rug for my daughters dorm room. Last year was her first year so we basically learned what TO and what NOT to do this time around! Lol. The price was what initially caught my attention. After a year of college kids walking on it, sleeping on it, spilling things on it and basically trashing it, I didn’t want to spend a lot of money as it seems I will be buying a new rug each year! It was nice to transport as it arrived rolled up nice and tight. The smell wasn’t overwhelming and unrolled nicely. We flipped it “inside out” while we were moving furniture around hoping that it would help flatten it, which it seemed to. When we were ready, we flipped it back over and ran her small dirt devil “stick” vacuum over it. It helped to fluff it up a bit and give it some volume. I wish I had vacuumed it before we left the house though, so that it would’ve been even fluffier, but oh well...not that big of a deal. So far, it’s holding up well. It’s staying flat and doesn’t slide around and the kids say it’s pretty comfy to lay on. All in all, I think it was a really good purchase! If it DOESNT survive college life, I’ll definitely grab another one for next year!

I got this rug to go in front of my couch to cut down on the wear on my carpet. With two teenage sons, there's near constant in and out traffic in my living room, and the light colored carpet definitely shows it. I wanted the rug to protect the carpet, wasn't really expecting a lot at this price point, but the rug was a pleasant surprise. The color is great and adds depth to the room. The rug is well-made and seems like it will be durable. It vacuums well. I would recommend vacuuming when you lay the rug down to fluff up the shag after being in the packaging. The rug is also incredibly soft and feels great to walk on. I love it, my kids love it, even my cat loves it. I would highly recommend this rug to anyone looking for an affordable area rug. Great value for a quality area rug.

This rug is exactly what we were looking for. We have a lot of hardwood and tile and needed something soft for the kids and dogs. My dogs love laying on this to chew her bones and sleep. It laid flat in an hour. It's also SUPER easy to vacuum compared to most shag rugs which is super important to us with 3 dogs, 3 cats, a toddler and a baby. There's absolutely no shedding. You need this carpet!!Editing to add: my dog threw up on this. I ran my carpet cleaner over it and it was super super easy to clean. I was nervous with the deep shag that it would be impossible and ruined forever but it wasnt! I love this rug!

I've only had the Perla Grey Shag Rug down for a few days. My dog has already shred paper on it and I was concerned that it would take forever to get these pieces of paper out of it, or that my vacuum would be harsh on the shag. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to vacuum it with ease and no paper got stuck in the shag. I love the softness and walking on it with bare feet. It almost makes me want to get shag carpet! My only complaint is it is going to take some time for it to flatten out where it was rolled up, but it won't stop me from buying another in the future since all rugs need worn in when you purchase them.

I needed a new rug for my enclosed 8 x 10 porch, as that room flooded during Hurricane Imelda and my other rug was destroyed. Since this room has a lot of indoor/outdoor travel, I didn’t want to spend a lot of money.This rug checked off ALL my boxes. It shipped quickly. It was packaged very well. It is affordable. It is a neutral grey. It is durable. It is high quality. It is soft. It is easy to spot clean. It fit my space perfectly. It looks like I spent three times the price.If I needed a rug for indoors, I would definitely purchase from this company again. This rug is that good!!!

I ended up choosing this product over other smaller ones around the same price range. I probably should've just decided to spend a little more on other rugs around the same size. Just feels like a piece of cardboard with some shag material. Once you run your hands through the carpet you can start seeing the bottom material which means that the shag carpet material is not densely packed which just confirms how they cheaped out on this product, unless I just happened to get a cheap counterfit but as of now my review stands as is.
