It looks like it auto adjusts to at least 7,200ft(2200m), will adjust at higher altitudes without a modification? 12,000ft?

Thank you for your question. That's correct, current standard factory units will only adjust for altitude up to max 7200ft

It is possible for special order only eg military application etc to build for higher altitude operation. For single unit purchasers the 'special build' solution may be somewhat delayed and potentially cost-prohibitive. cost prohibitive

Does this heater needs high altitude adjustment at 9000 feet?

This one is diesel fuel.  Do you sell gasoline units of this model?  (altitude compensating)
