Worked for exhaust manifold bolts
Ordered this to remove broken exhaust manifold bolts before pulling the welder out to remove them, worked great except for one that wasn't long enough for the sockets to grab on, overall I'd say definitely a good addition to the tool box.

Must have tool for stud service
These are great and necessary for removing and installing studs. My particular set came with one of the pieces loose and just floating around in the case - however, I'm a mechanic, so rather than ship it back for a replacement, I just popped the snap ring, put the part where it belonged, and put the snap ring back. Gearwrench makes good stuff, even if an assembly machine goofs occasionally.

The best way to remove a stud from an engine block or automotive accessory.
I purchased these stud remover‘s because I got tired of having to use two nuts or a pair of vice grips to remove studs from automotive applications. So far I have successfully used these to remove exhaust manifold studs, intake manifold studs, throttlebody mounting studs, water pump pulley studs, Thermostat housing studs and a few other things I have forgotten to mention here. I have found these tools to be indispensable. They can install or remove studs without doing damage. Even on rusted exhaust studs these did not damage the threads at all. I have not use them with an impact wrench I always operate them with a hand ratchet.

Good Tool, Would buy it again
Needed a tool to pull a pair of studs that were anchoring the ignition switch on my Ducati motorcycle. Until this, I did not even know what a stud extractor was. The mechanic at the dealership enlightened me. Quick search on Google and this is what I got. Saw a bunch of off brands and recognized the Gearwrench name; also, I own some Gearwrench tools already and they have been fine. This tool was easy to use and appears to be of quality construction. I am a hobbyist mechanic at best and going Snap-On would have been overkill for a tool that I will use infrequently. Can't beat this for bang for the buck.
