KS TDP Far Infrared Mineral Heat Lamp w/Detachable Head Floor Model (KS-9800N)

This is not the same as the older lamps. There is no fuse that’s accessible from the rear. We’ve already had one of these lamps in the knob is very flimsy. The center column is very flimsy. We’ve already had one snap completely in a half and the heads really are not replaceable. It doesn’t have that same three prong plug that the older units have. So even though it has the same model number it’s not the same unless they’ve completely just downgraded the entire lamp to a horribly cheaper lamp. As soon as I am packed it, I put it back in the box it’s going back. We’ve already been through two of these was hoping this one was different being that it was from a different company.

Easy to assemble & effective mineral lamp

So far I am fairly happy with this purchase. The heat lamp arrived well-packed, with all parts. The included instructions are mostly useless, but have a QR code that you can follow for assembly instructions online. Why not just have the assembly instructions included? Seems like a strange choice, but ok. Lamp went together easily and feels reasonably solid for what it is. The range of motion of the head as actually pretty good, allowing me to position it easily so it targets pretty much any area of my body. My two main complaints are: 1. The design of the lamp head attachment is awful. This needs to be completely reworked as it is difficult to tighten securely so that the lamp head doesn't flop forward. 2. My lamp will occasionally turn off even though it has power, and the "on" light flashes. It appears that this is some sort of fail-safe shut off, although there is nothing documented about this condition in the instructions. I've found that fully turning it off and back on usually fixes this issue. Overall, given the less expensive price, I think this is passable, but I would be curious to see if more expensive models are designed and function better.

I don’t like this lamp. Old lamp I purchased was much better. Hard to use with this “funny” timer.

A more sturdy base than the original but something about the heat is different -more intense but less penetrating the original emits no light this one glows orange/red (less far infra more near ???) ...I have to say I'm disappointed original 9/10 this one ...7.

What a bad design flaw and poor material choice. It broke after 5 months of use. Thankfully no one got burned by it.
