The best way to pull pork.
The Laguna Home VC001 Grill tool worked great they pulled apart my pork butt without my hands getting hot. They shredded the meat into perfectly sized pieces.

I Fought the Claw and the Claw Won
One of my culinary heroes had reviewed a similar product and declared it a “unitasker.” As such, I was prepared to be less than enthused by these. Was I wrong! To say these make quick work of shredding proteins would be a massive understatement. And while, sure, you can shred meat with forks, this is so much more efficient.Don’t let the fact that they’re “just plastic” lull you into complacency: they are sharp! As a matter of fact, the night they arrived, each of my children had one and had impaled carrot sticks and popcorn on them in order to eat their snack. I had to confiscate them, as I could see that degenerating into something obnoxious. My husband is threatening to take them into the backyard in order to try to address a mole problem we’re having. I will need to hide them from him as well.Again, are there other ways to shred protein? Sure. But these are FUN and work a treat!

Looks cool and works well enough, but not much better than forks
Back in the day you needed to use a couple forks, but now we have these! They look cool, and now that there are 50 competing versions, the price isn't so bad. They're not much better than a fork however (I find these to be quicker and more consistent, but more awkward/less comfortable). I've used others (even bulkier) that are more ergonomic and less likely to put your hands in the middle of it all.The biggest issue is that they take up a lot of space, and unless you want to go all out on handy salad tossing tools, they're a single purpose item. I love BBQ, but I don't do pulled pork (or even pulled chuck) that often. These take up a lot of space for not often! If you want to give junior something to do to get him (or her) away from Fortnite, this can be fun. If you're looking to elevate your BBQ game or make your life easier, it's not going to do that.

Not impressed.
I'm not sold on these. We had a BBQ today and tried these out on the 3 chickens and 4 pork butts my husband smoked. It did make it easier to shred the meat than using regular utensils (I usually use a couple of forks). But you have to hold your hands in an awkward position to use them and I kept dragging my fingers (where I gripped the claws) through the food. To keep them completely out the angle was even more awkward. Maybe there is a trick that I wasn't getting? Anyway I still would have given 4 stars except that the tips of several claws by the end were bent/mangled. They are definitely still usable and I'm not sure if the damage was from the heat of the meat or from when they hit the bone while pulling the meat off. Either way I don't want plastic chunks, no matter how small, in my food. So I'm not sure how often I will use these in the future. Disappointed.

Works great for shredding meat!
I had another set of meat-shredding claws. They worked okay, but because the back was hollow, it was harder to clean than these claws are. The Laguna Home claws are solid, both on the front and the back. That makes them very easy to clean. These are also much sharper than my other meat-shredding claws. Be careful how you handle them because of that. Because the points on these claws are so sharp, they really do a great job of shredding meats.

Use A Fork
These claws look great, and they're fun to pretend I'm a bear with, but that's about as far as it goes. They do NOT perform well for actually shredding meat, unless that meat happens to already be soft and cooked to the point of falling apart. Most of the time I find I can shred meat easier and more quickly with a fork. I would recommend these for home self defense, but not for shredding meat.
