I debated about whether to purchase this plunger... the reviews are all over the place, but I sure am glad I got it. My upstairs toilet hasn't worked well in the 1.5 years we've owned this house. I suspect a former owner's child put more than they should have down the hatch. Or maybe it's a "water efficient" toilet, because there doesn't ever seem to be much water in the tank or bowl. Regardless, this toilet only flushes properly every other time; such an annoyance. 6 days ago this toilet completely stopped flushing water out of the bowl. Ugh! My previous plunger was so ridiculously bad that I threw it away months ago. Had to break down and buy one to fix this current problem and after researching many options online, I happened across this design, vastly different than plungers of old. I followed tips posted by other reviewers... if the bowl is dry, pour a cup or two of water in the tank, position the plunger at a slight angle towards the rim, slowly push the plunger all the way in, and then pump it halfway 3-5 times, pull it up and let the water drain out, and flush. First time I did this it still didn't flush properly so I repeated the steps and VOILA! Success. To those who posted anything less than a 5 star review: * Yes, you are going to splash some water - don't put your face down there and have a paper towel and cleaner ready to wipe up the droplets. ANY style plunger is going to create some splash because of how a plunger works. * My handle did not collapse into the accordion portion - it does not require superman force to use this plunger, just light small motions, so if you've managed to collapse your handle, either it's defective or you are pushing too hard. * Yes, the accordion part is stiff... you want it to be able to draw in and push air and water hard down the pipe to clear the clog, but it's not too stiff for this purpose; seriously, anyone, even an older arthritic person, can use this plunger. * No, it doesn't matter if your bowl hole is square and this doesn't have to cover the hole or fit into it perfectly. This plunger works differently and it doesn't require complete suction against the hole, it works by pulling and pushing water and air into the accordion piece and then back out through the bowl hole. A complete seal is NOT necessary for this action to occur. * It is possible to clean this without going outside to hose it off. Once your toilet is properly functioning thanks to this wonderful plunger, put some cleaner in your toilet bowl and plunge up some of that water into the plunger a few times, flush the toilet, and then plunge up some of the clean water into the plunger a few times. Done, it's clean enough for storage. * You are right, it is not going to pull toys, deodorant, and other non-flushable items out of your toilet pipe, nor is any other plunger. Keep your toilet lid shut when not in use. Highly recommend this plunger!

Tried drain cleaner, two other plungers, hot water and dish soap all didn’t work. Saw the package and got toilet unclogged in two tries. Have to lean it little on side and work asap. This is a must for anyone who always having toilet clogs. Recommend ! A++

Never in 40 Yrs did i think i would be so excites to tell future plunger shoppers about a plunger but here i am and im doing it. Me a daughter of a man who owns his own plumbing business talking about a plunger she found on amazon. After 2 long days of plunging a toilet in my old 2nd floor apartment. I couldnt do it anymore. My arms were burning like literally on fire. I looked online and i did the dish soap and hot water, the baking soda and vinegar i even made a metal hanger into a snake. I got nowhere. I almost had to call my dad. But the poor man has been dealing with me for 40 yrs! He just wants to retire. Hes tired of cleaning up my crap (literally and figuratively) so i went on the trusted ole Amazon. I came across this! This little plastic pump! I thought to myself noway will this fix this dam toilet. Then i read every single review. Literally every review. Then i clicked buy now and even paid the extra 2.99 delivery to get it in one day since my order wasnt the qualified 25 dollar price point. It came in i ran down to grab it. Opened it. Put it together and went to work. I cant even call it work i was done in 5 minutes. I cried. Literally because its been a long 2 days of plunging and soaping and vinegar and plunging and praying and metal hangers. It works! It truly works. It only took 7 pumps to hear the whooosh and it was music to my ears! Ladies Gentlemen Young people Old People anybody questioning if they should purchase this plunger. Just do it. Your life will be so much easier. Your arms will thank you! Take the money you save by not calling a plumber and buy yourself a reward! Everyone needs this plunger in their life. So yes it works. It might splash a little but youll be so elated you wont even care about cleaning a few droplets of water. If only i could go on Amazon and find a husband that is this amazing my dad could live the rest of his life in peace! Although i do hope my Amazon husband finishes the job with more than 7 pumps! But hey at this point in my life whatever gets the job done. 😉

Let’s be honest plunging a toilet is disgusting and the worst part is the backsplash spray. I bought this JS Jackson one specifically because of the "no-fold lip" design and it actually works. It makes the whole process a lot cleaner. It's more of a grimace-lite situation now. For normal toilet paper clogs it’s actually more powerful than my old cup plunger and clears things out with a solid whoosh. However don't expect it to fix everything. My toddler recently shoved a toy car down the toilet and this plunger really struggled with that. I spent about 10 minutes fighting with it before it finally cleared. It’s not a heavy artillery tool for major blockages. Also it’s a bit weird to use at first. You have to push straight down with a lot of force to get the bellows to work so there's a learning curve. My main worry is the plastic. The accordion joints feel a bit thin and I'm not sure how long they'll last if you’re a frequent plunger. Good for everyday mess but keep a snake handy for the real emergencies.

My toilet has been stopped for 3 days good thing I have another bathroom downstairs but going up and down the stairs not one of my favorite exercises anyway I went on Amazon seen this J's bellows plunger wow the suction is powerful it unclogged my toilet guickly the plunger looks like an accordion I think I'm gonna take up accordion less thank you J's Bellows

In short it's a miraculous product every home must have especially for all kinds of toilets either western or Indian. For good results it should be adjusted properly with a hole and dipped in water while using.

Great plunger

Unclogged the clogged toilet in a few minutes and saved us from having to call the plumber. You have to position it just so to create the vacuum suction and keep pumping for a while - and then you hear the telltale sound that it's doing its job - flush - and voilá! Easy-peasy!

Good power but design is not very smart. Difficult with cleaning.
