This is a review of the "Deluxe Noble Lord Costume" from HalloweenCostumes. I bought this costume to wear once a year when I go with my kids to the local Ren Faire, and maybe for the occasional Halloween party. I've tried it on, but haven't had a chance to wear it to an event yet. Overall, though, I'd say I'm very pleased with it.There are a few things you should know about the costume. (These are not complaints, just things to be aware of.) First, the outfit does not include pants. (Not too much of a problem, since everyone probably has some old black pants lying around.) Second, if you look at the photo very carefully, you'll see that the costume does not actually come with boots. Instead, it has ankle-to-knee leggings that mimic the tops of the boots. The idea is that if you wear brown shoes under the leggings, most people won't notice that you're not wearing actual boots. (The leggings are probably a good idea, since real boots would be quite expensive.) Third, the feather on the cap is a bit ruffled after being in plastic bag on a shelf for who knows how long. (But if that really bothers you, get a crisp, new feather from any hobby shop for a buck.) Finally, although I haven't worn the costume to an event yet, it does not seem to be highly durable. My guess is that I will get two or three years out of it, wearing it at most twice a year.Despite the limitations, this is a very reasonable product for the money. A really durable and finely crafted costume like you might buy at a Ren Faire would easily cost several hundred dollars. But if you're looking for something serviceable and moderately priced for a school play, costume party, etc., this is just fine.

I needed an outfit for a medieval-themed wedding. (That was fun!) I looked at and read many many reviews for lots of the appropriate costumes here on Amazon and other sources. This one had the "noble" look I was seeking, and sounded like it was decent quality. A lot of other costumes had poor reviews regarding not really looking like the picture, being made of cheap materials that looked crappy and fell apart quickly, being sized incorrectly, etc. Between the way this costume looked and the positive reviews regarding fit and quality, I ordered one of these in Large, which fit me just about right. I am 5'10" and about 210 pounds - this outfit would not have fit me if it was smaller, but the XLarge would have been too big.Everyone thought this looked great, so very successful there. The materials were even nicer than I expected and well assembled. I could imagine wearing this multiple times without having it fall apart. The 'boot covers' are floppy and need to be pinned to the leggings to stay up. The gold chain looks flashy but kind of cheapo as still obviously plastic. I wound up removing that and substituting a medallion on a chain which I purchased separately on Etsy. That made it look even more classy for this important occasion, though the gold chain would suffice for general costume use.In short, I was very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a similar outfit. (Sorry that cape doesn't show in picture; that was a nice feature.)

Ok I lucked out and my size happened to be $38. EXTREMELY happy with quality for that price. I would probably say this isn't worth over $100 though. It comes with everything pictured. However mine only had the lower gold chain and there didn't seem to be attachments for the higher one. Just know you will likely only get one chain. The hat is a very large (probably 2" thick) elastic one size fits all. It is actually very comfortable due to the thickness of the elastic. Definitely wear a shirt underneath as all of the stitching is exposed and will not be comfortable on your skin. The cape is high quality, it attaches using two velcro pieces at the shoulders which where only sewn on one edge. I super glued the rest of the velcro patch to affix it more securely and it did the trick. Prior it would hang back a bit and reveal the underside showing the velcro (I hope that makes sense). The leggings are comfortable (I'm a dude and have never worn anything like that before but there was plenty of room where you need it to be...Boot covers are great but be warned they are very large. I was wearing high motorcycle boots and still had to wrap some cloth around my calves to keep then snug and not falling down. I by no means have chicken legs either. I supplemented this costume with some white gloves which brought it together nicely. Highly recommend if your size is under $100. If under $50 don't hesitate. Great costume for the money. If your size is over $100 it still is a very good costume to complete your renaissance theme.

I bought this for my under enthusiastic husband to wear at a Renaissance faire I dragged him to.Luckily, he’s a slim guy because this costume was much smaller than expected, but fit him well & served it’s purpose.The fabric isn’t great , but it was inexpensive & it can definitely be worn a few more times.

The costume per se is really nice and well made. It gives a great look.However, it is unfortunate that a piece was missing. Pants were not in the package.I did not return the package because we would have not had the time to buy a different costume or check if a replacement could be sent. We will use something else to replace those pants and keep the other parts of the costume which are cool. However, for the price paid, I am disappointed a piece was missing. Also, I wish the costume would have been shipped in a regular box and not just wrapped, almost rolled up like a ball, in the gray plastic bag/soft package to avoid wrinkles. Sleeve arrived very, very wrinkled. Not too nice for a new costume.
