Neat solution to help get rip of your phone chargers etc but watch out for the small size
I purchased this purely for the USB sockets, as I though it would be a far neater and better solution that having several chargers (phone, tablet, wife's phone) as stuck in a 6 way adaptor as we have at present. This does the trick perfectly, and works beautifully. It's very compact, and if fact my only criticism is that it's maybe too compact as there's very little room if your plugs are oversized. If you are using a standard plug then it's no problem as they just about fit opposite each other, but if you are using anything bigger then you won't get it opposite a normal plug. In our bedroom we have an electric blanket with a plug that's just a fraction bigger with usual as well as some other oversized ones like one for an external hard drive. On the standard 6 way extension this has replaced they could all fit next to each other, but with this you can't position them opposite each other. It's not been an issue as the usb sockets have freed up 3 spaces that would otherwise be taken by phone chargers but it is something worth bearing in mind. The plus side is that it's very compact and neat.Apart from my slight issue with the small size of it, it works perfectly and has made our bedroom a bit neater. The USB sockets are the real selling point here. One thing for my wishlist - I'd love to see one of these that supports the QC QuickCharge standard. I know it wouldn't be so cheap (this was under £17) but since ordering this I've seen they do exist and now wish I'd maybe going for one of those. That won't be an issue if your phone doesn't support QC charing, but my Samsung does and it was pretty handy.,All in all them, despite my little niggle with the small size I can't really fault it for the price.

Does the job, but not the sturdiest or most trustworthy.
I bought this to replace two Belkin surge protectors under my desk as well as to have USB charging available without needing to use a socket for the charger plugs. The item is relatively well constructed with a decent length UK cable. The switches on top have little arrows to show which set of plugs they control, one for the front set of 6 and one for the back. The LED for USB slots seems to permanently be on and is not too bright. The big red reset button is on the base of the unit, a nice feature, but one would think that with two independent sets of plugs connected to two switches there might be two reset buttons? Seems like the surge protection is for the whole unit vs the independent circuits.Be careful with what you plug in, where and how. I managed to blow a fuse in my shredder since I overloaded/short-circuited the sockets on one side with too many higher draw devices. Moving everything around, repositioning and replacing the fuse seems to have fixed it though! All in all a very decent product, though I'm not sure the full normal price is worth it, I got this discounted below half price and it's definitely worth what I paid, but for full price I'd expect something very solid and electrically sound. There's also a multitude of these under different brand names, stylings and configurations which makes me dubious but we'll see how time goes on.

Neat, well made power strip with 2 x usb ports to help de-clutter your life
These power extension strip blocks with in-built USB ports seems to have become common place over the last few months, which is not surprising and they really are a boon and a great space saver. It means that instead of having to use your usual power supplies for your phone or tablet you can just plug directly into the USB socket, which is a must neater solution instead of having bulky power adaptors using up the actual plug sockets instead. The USB sockets kick out 2.4a each which is plenty for actual full speed charging for your phone or tablet. At 2 meters the extension cable is a decent length for most applications, and it all feels well made with a sufficiently strong cable. It features an on/off switch too, which is great for me as it means I can turn everything off at the extension when it is by my bed rather than have to get out to turn it off at the wall or unplug individual devices. The main selling point for me was that it's black. I do already have another of these power strips with USB ports but it's white and this one being back helps it blend into my room a little better. The only thing I would like to see if support for Quick Charge for my phone - as it stands I still have to use one of the plug sockets if I want to fast charge my phone. This is not a huge issue because I'm using this power strip by our bed so leaving the phone overnight, but it would have been nice to have one QC port on it - however I'm guessing the price would shoot up if that was the case.In conclusion then a neat, well made power extension with 2 x very handy USB slots to help you de-clutter your leads and power supplies etc. There's no issues with it getting hot in use, so it just works well and it's a decent price too.
