TEKTON Everybit Tech Rescue Kit (46-Piece) | 28301

I recently picked up the TEKTON 1/4‑inch Hex Bit Set with Rail, and it’s quickly become my go‑to toolset for both DIY projects and quick fixes around the house. What really impressed me at first glance was the sturdy metal rail—it feels solid and makes organizing the bits a breeze. No fumbling through cluttered drawers anymore. Each bit fits snugly into the sleeve and locks in place with a satisfying click. I appreciate that they’re easy to swap in and out, whether I’m tightening cabinet hinges, assembling furniture, or working on my bike. Over the past few weeks, I’ve used this set across a range of tasks, from small electronics repairs to fixing loose screws on door handles—and every bit has performed flawlessly. I also noticed how well the titanium-coated bits hold up. I dropped them a few times onto the concrete garage floor (whoops!), and there was barely a scratch. More importantly, none of them got warped or stripped, even when I put them through tougher jobs. My only minor gripe is that the plastic end caps on the rail can feel a bit tight when trying to open the case with one hand—but it’s a small quibble. Overall, the set feels premium, gets the job done, and stays neatly organized thanks to that rail. If you're looking for a durable, well‑organized bit set that handles everyday tasks and occasional heavy use, this TEKTON kit is a solid pick. I’d happily grab another for my workshop or toolbox in a heartbeat.

These provide a nice size assortment and good quality for the money. The other tools I purchased from Tekton seem to be of better than average quality, also. It’s nice when you can find a tool manufacturer that has consistent quality without breaking the bank. Probably won’t be the last time I purchase some of their tools.

I had the smaller kit, but one of the slotted heads bent, and since then, I've fumbled along. I also have a physically larger kit, but with less drivers. This one includes just about EVERY driver you might need - including pentalobes and tri-wings, essential for repairing a certain brand of computer/smartphone. it also has openers that look to be perfectly designed for lifting adhesive-secured surfaces. For those quick emergency repairs away from the workbench, it includes a magnetic mat that sits in one half of the clamshell case - a VERY practical inclusion. The only thing missing is a rivet head cutter for certain keyboard removal/replacements. Given my experience with the previous set, I would be more careful with the drivers, especially any that have thin edges - slots and tri-wings in particular. That said, I think this is a great tool kit that will get you through most basic computer/tech device repairs, and is portable enough to keep in your go-bag for emergency repairs.

I purchased this in 2016 and am still using the same set in 2025. It's held up really well, and has a great selection of bits - in fact, I haven't needed another bit for any small electronics work since I got this. Attached is a picture of my 9 year old set. The only damaged bits at this point are the smallest flathead (which got bent) and the T5 bit (which still works, but got twisted somehow at some point). I also added a second bit holder for some small hex head bits. The case is also in great condition, with the only damage being a skid mark where I (stupidly) tried to use it to stop a spinning bike wheel.

Nice set. I purchased these because we have them at work for maintenance which is in a large factory and they have held up very well.

Awesome little kit. I've been tinkering with computers and electronics for as long as I can remember but have always used the tools that were just lying around or buying stuff as I needed it. Finally decided to buy myself a toolkit but didn't want to spend too much money. This kit checked off all the right boxes (good selection of bits, magnetized bit holder, tweezers, spudger and various other opening tools). When I opened it up, I was very happy to see that everything was very neatly organized as many of the other reviewers have stated. All the bits seemed well made with no imperfections on first inspection. The tweezers were also very nice. They came to a very sharp point and the tips met perfectly when closed. The metal opening tool was very nice and the plastic ones seem like they'll get the job done. The suction cup seemed to hold very well when I tested it and the magnetized mat did it's job holding small screws. However, when I did a memory upgrade on my notebook, I found a small problem. One screw I needed to use was a Torx 7 security, but the hole on the bit was slightly off center, thus preventing me from using the bit. I was able to get it done using a T6 security without any problems though. One other thing I noticed was that the shorter T6 and the longer T6 were slightly different sizes (the longer one fit more snugly than the shorter one). Not sure if this was intentional or not, but it seems strange to label two bits as the same only to have them be different sizes. On the positive side, none of the bits I used bent or snapped as a few others have mentioned and other than that one snag, everything else went perfectly. As I haven't used all the other bits yet so I can't comment on them, but as of right now the issue with the T7 and the different sized T6 bits are the only thing holding this kit back from a perfect score in my book. As for things that would be nice to have, both the triangle opener and the spudger are made of relatively soft plastic and won't damage your equipment. Because of that it seems they'll get chewed up after a bit of prying so it would have been nice if the kit came with a couple of spares, but that's really nitpicking.

Great brand, excellent quality and work great. No issues with size or slipping. A must have if you need the bits but get Metric also.

Auf der Suche nach einigen Spezialbits bin ich auf das Set von TEKTON aufmerksam geworden. Der deutlich höhere Preis gegenüber dem Billigramsch aus Fernost ist m.E. völlig gerechtfertigt. Über solche Qualität im Baumarkt würde ich mich sehr freuen. Die Bits sind passgenau gearbeitet und bei sachgemäßer Handhabe auch sehr langlebig. Die kleine Tasche (140x70x35mm) ist robust und lässt sich mit ihren 285g leicht verstauen. Neben den kurzen und vier langen Bits finden sich auch verschiedene Hebelwerkzeuge und eine sehr feine spitze Pinzette. Als besonders griffig würde ich den massiven Bithalter bezeichnen, der richtig gut in der Hand liegt. Lediglich die magnetische Platte zum Schraubensammeln will nicht so richtig Platz in der Tasche finden und "zerknittert" etwas zwischen dem restlichen Inhalt.
