Excellent Light-Duty Barrow / Trolley
I've been wanting something like this for a while but was basically looking for a good excuse to get one. With the recent COVID-19-related lockdown, I have been ordering large vegetable and dairy box supplies for some of my neighbours and delivering them to their doorsteps. I was going this in the car due to the size and weight of the boxes (and to avoid a potential repeat of that one time when I walked a box to its destination and the bottom fell out depositing quality vedge everywhere - embarrassing) and although some of my neighbours are a good few hundred metres away (doesn't sound like much, but it is when your're old and carrying stuff), it nevertheless seemed a little environmentally unfriendly starting and stopping a diesel vehicle carrying these deliveries out. So, I bought one of these... so that I could wheel them around instead. I didn't do that much research... I basically looked at carrying capacity / versatility (80kg as a barrow / 137kg as a trolley), and portability / store-ability (weighs 8kg and folds flat)... and then picked a brand that I recognised! This ticked all the boxes and while it wasn't the cheapest, it wasn't outrageous. In use, it's brilliant. It unfolds from flat to four-wheeled (two fixed / two castor) trolley easily enough with the releasing of a sprung-loaded catch. A further catch-releasing action then turns it into a two wheeled barrow (with the remaining two castors magnetically held neatly in place out of the way). The handle in either mode is height adjustable and the barrow base plate can be deployed in trolley mode to better secure box-shaped cargo. It feels pretty solid when loaded and is easily maneuverable as the wheels roll well and quietly enough even on reasonably uneven paving. For what I'm currently using it for, it's perfect. Downsides? Not a lot really. The wheels in trolley mode aren't spot-on level (so it tips slightly from corner to corner when unloaded) but is mostly undetectable when in use. And there may be some parts of its metal / plastic construction which might not fair too well if used in a fairly rugged environment... like those [plastic] catches for example, which if broken will render the whole thing mostly unusable. It could also do with weight warning stickers on it to remind the user what it's realistically capable of as its perceived robustness may encourage use beyond its capability. I can imagine there might be the odd individual attempting to use one to transport a grand piano... Other than that, this excellent light-duty barrow / trolley is just what my current situation needs and is highly recommended.

Rolls nice
Just bought this to replace a old aluminium folding sack truck I have had for the last 10 years. This feels study and with the option to use as a sack truck or a flat trolley it's a great bit of kit. The wheels roll quietly and it's easy to control piled up with boxes of heavy stuff through a data center. The locks to keep the trolley folded work really well and seem sturdy enough for the job. Folds nice and flat and fits on top of my DeWalt tstack boxes in the back of the Volvo V70 and under the tornau cover. Really pleased with it.

Great quality, reasonable price
I was initially apprehensive about spending so much money on something that would be used occasionally, but it does seem to be worth it. It is very sturdy and well built. It comfortably handles heavy items and moves with relative ease when doing so on a smooth flat surface. Yet to try it on tarmac/gravel/grass. The only downside to this is how heavy it is. It would have also been useful to have some simple instructions for folding/unfolding but it didn't take long to figure out through trial and error. Overall pleased with this purchase.

Quality Piece of Kit!
This really is a quality piece of kit. It is good looking and robust. I needed it for moving all my terracotta pots in the garden, as lifting them hurts my back these days. I can see that it will be useful for many other things too. It seemed a little expensive but I am pleased with my investment. It steers really well and is narrow enough to navigate the passage down the side of my property. It folds so well and would take up very little space in the car boot. During these COVID times we have resorted to lots of family picnics and I can see a use for it as a gear transporter.

Sturdy easily foldable, great on flat ground, not so good on grass or uneven ground
Very study & easy to fold, so fits in small car boot. When using as 4 wheeler, not much good on uneven (especially grassy) ground as back wheels very small & grass etc constantly gets stuck round the axel, making it very hard to push as its heavy before you load it up! Works well with heavy loads on flat paved ground. Works well as 2 wheel sack barrow only for bags of compost etc. Unfortunately I wanted it for transporting heavy loads up to my allotment, which is at the end of a very uneven & grassy path, but if you wanted it for anywhere paved etc would recommend.

Better than it looks
Been using it for 3 months now and it's better than it looks. At first i was wondering how long it'll last but it goes over rough terrain every day and up and down curbs with roughly 25kg worth of toolbox on the trolley mode. It's even had a 98kg gas bottle on the trolley mode which flexed a bit but still solid for this little thing. It's way better than I thought it would be so far, I get a lot of stick from the blokes at work for it but they always want to put their tools on it. Great little trolley and sack burrow, I've mainly used it as a trolley but so far so good

ery sturdy and versatile folding trolley – perfect for home and DIY use
We bought this STANLEY 2-in-1 trolley mainly to help us move heavier items during home renovation and furniture assembly. What convinced us was the flexibility of the design: you can use it either as a classic upright sack truck or unfold it completely into a flat platform trolley depending on what you’re moving. The transformation between the two modes is very fast and intuitive, and once in place, everything locks securely. It feels solid and well-balanced, with no wobble or weakness in the frame. The wheels are robust and smooth, making it easy to roll across hard floors and even outdoors on rougher terrain like paving or compact gravel. The 70 kg limit in upright mode and 137 kg on the platform is more than enough for most home and garden uses. It’s also compact when folded, so it fits neatly in a storage cupboard or car boot — a big plus if you don’t have a garage or workshop. ✅ Pros • Dual functionality: sack truck & platform trolley • Sturdy construction – no wobbling or bending • Smooth and durable wheels – suitable for various surfaces • High weight capacity for domestic and light professional use • Compact when folded – easy to store • Easy to switch between modes ❌ Cons • Slightly heavy to lift when folded • Platform height is low — not ergonomic for prolonged use • No strap or tie-downs included for securing large items 🔎 Conclusion This trolley is a solid and smart investment if you regularly move heavy or bulky items at home. It’s sturdy, flexible, folds up neatly, and saves your back. A real time-saver for DIY, gardening, or moving furniture — and the build quality lives up to the Stanley name.
