Good flavour
I liked the taste. It has a good consistency and can be used as both a sauce over meatballs and pasta as well as a soup.

What a mess
When I opened the box, one of the jars had leaked, the top is loose, so a bit of a letdown this time

When does subtle turn bland?...
This Coppola Take-a-Break! Pumpkin, Carrot & Turmeric is subtle to the point of bland really. I realise Pumpkin isn't the most highly flavoured ingredient but blended with carrot and Turmeric and nicely seasoned it should still produce a tasty soup and while this soup is perfectly pleasant it's not very exciting. The texture is nice and it's thick without being too gritty or wallpaper-paste-y and you can dilute it slightly (they suggest up to a third of a jar of water) if you want to serve two people, the jar serving is a little small otherwise. They say the healthiest way to eat your veg is to mix as many colours as possible, each colour group have their own nutrients, so it's nice to have a blend of orange vegetables and squash. I make my own 'orange' soup with Butternut Squash and Carrot (which I roast in the oven first) and I wouldn't have though of seasoning it with Turmeric, but I'll try that next time. My problem with this soup is that my own version is much tastier and much cheaper, but for days when you really can't find the time or the energy to make your own this is a half-decent store cupboard fall-back.

Filling soup but a little bland
I make a lot of my own soup, and freeze it. But some days, I just can't wait for my rather solid soups to defrost, and I turn to tins. I was interested to try what this would be like as another possible alternative. The soup is nicely thick - very like homemade - and the jar suggests that you can thin it, especially if you want the jar to feed two people. We didn't, and it still was sufficient for lunch for two with some nice crusty bread. It was filling, but the spicing was rather bland - turmeric added to the colour, but wasn't enough to give it some taste. Pumpkin can be tasteless, and although a mass market soup has to cater to all tastes, but that's no reason for the makers to be so cautious with seasoning and spicing. So, overall a good store cupboard standby but I won't be rushing to the shops for more.

Nice soup but too expensive
This is delicious soup. Thick, comforting and warming. Each jar is 350g which is smaller than a tin of Heinz soup. It comes in a glass jar which is easily recyclable.I enjoyed the soup. Its a good portion for one person for Lunch. My negative is cost. I have no idea at all how this can possibly cost £3.24 a jar, and i would not pay it. The ingredients are healthy and its good quality, but at the end of the day its not worth more than a £1 a jar, and if they sold it at that i would buy it again.Picture attached.

Deliciously thick
Most soups are underwhelming, But this thick pumpkin and carrot soup is mild yet tasty, The pumpkin is the dominant flavour, With background notes of carrot and turmeric. The soup is quite filling, And even better with a chunk of buttered bread. It is full of immune boosting vitamins such as vitamin A, And plenty of antioxidants to keep the body in good shape. I would not say it's the strongest tasting soup i have tasted, But it does have a decent flavour profile that satisfies my tummy.

Yummy!
This is a box of 6 jars of Pumpkin, carrot and turmeric soup. My husband enjoyed this very much and when asking how i should describe it said 'Yummy'It is a thick smooth soup with a mild, mostly pumpkin flavour with a hint of turmeric. It can be heated in the microwave in the jar if preferred and plenty for one, or two people if adding bread or sides. This is reminiscent of a homemade soup rather than a packaged one and apparently it was very tasty!A little pricey for my liking -I would Recommend this soup if you dont mind the price

3 of your 5 a day
This Pumpkin, Carrot & Turmeric was really nice I did like it.The consistency and balance of this was good and it also very waist friendly at 233 calories a portion. You get 6 in a pack and they come in glass bottles each bottle being one portion. There is no added sugar with these and as well as a soup you can use this as a base for your cooking. As soup add water to dilute to personal taste, this is lovely served with a crusty roll. This is also 3 of your 5 a day.
