I was really happy to find out that Phillips made a fabric shaver and it was reasonably priced. I have a tendency to like things in the color blue so that made it even better.I bought this to help out with some crochet projects and to get my leggings looking less dingy.Not only did it remove all the little fuzzballs From the legs of my leggings making them look and feel brand new, I was able to bring some new life into some older crochet projects. A few of my handmade Sweaters and handbags were looking overly fuzzy and one gentle roll of the fabric shaver over it and it looks like I just finished weaving in ends.I have to admit that I probably became a little bit obsessed with this fabric shaver the first two weeks I had it. I was carrying it in my purse and every opportunity that I think that I could whip it out and ask someone to fabric shave them, I pretty much did. That being said it’s also reasonably sized and didn’t take up too much room in my smaller medium sized handbag.All of my blankets, clothing, pet beds, and accessories have all been shaved neatly.It’s taken a lot of self-control not to pull out the sweater bin in the middle of summer and start shaving those.Anyway, I highly recommend this fabric shaver to anybody that’s been hesitant to buy one in the past. Not only is this one really affordable compared to other ones out there, it works fantastically. It even came with batteries.

I had a similar product years ago that just never worked well. This one is amazing. It really cuts the pills off with zero damage to the fabric. My sweaters look great, and it even works on my sofa cushions. So far, the batter life seems great.

I just received this fabric shaver. I've pilled up my favorite fleece jacket by washing it with things that will cause this ridiculous amount of linting & pilling, so it's my own fault. But, that only makes this a great test for this fabric shaver. It works best to go at a slow pace to get the pills to fit into the screen, but it works really well. Comes with 2 AA batteries, & a little brush to clean it. I hesitated to buy this, because $20+ is too much for this kind of item, however it works very well.

I had a couple cashmere sweaters that were so pilled I couldn’t wear them anymore. I was thinking about donating them, but doubted anyone would want sweaters this worn-out.Very effective and safe for clothes - When I got this I was able to completely refresh both sweaters, as well as dozens of other things in my closet I didn’t even realize were fixable. I had little pill build up on lace bras and camisoles, and I was even able to safely remove the lint/pills without affecting the lace. You also can’t easily cut yourself - the little holes in the metal face are only big enough for pills - not for fingers, for example.Easy to use - Cleaning it out is not too tricky, though lint dust gets stuck in the corners. I take it outside and blow on it instead of using the little brush they provide. The couple of times I accidentally removed the blades I was able to very easily place them back.Overall excellent value and fun to use - I am SO impressed with this, and -perk- it’s deeply satisfying to watch your clothes become smooth and beautiful again as you use it. If you’re doubting whether to get this, don’t - you will definitely save money and help the planet by extending the life of your favorite items.
