If you have switched from older Lenovo thinkpads to recent ones (yeah, me too) You might have a few round-plug Thinkpad power supplies. I didn't want to re-buy all my power supplies. These let me avoid that in a neat, simple package.The right angle is perfect for plugging into a laptop.However, if you're replacing your docks, the right angle blocks either the DP or network ports on the Pro dock, so you'll also need a straight adapter for that. I'm pretty sure the Ultra dock still uses a round plug for power, so you don't need one at all for that. I don't have the basic dock to examine.But if you work at a number of desks, and prefer to not carry the power brick around, and so have a number of bricks at your locations, these will let you convert your old bricks into new.The old bricks work fine, BTW. They are 20VDC, like the new ones. They have higher amperage than the new (Lenovo also switched to lower-power CPUs and subsystems), but that's not a issue as your laptop controls how much amperage it pulls.

Funny how Amazon's system makes suggestions for what to mention in my review. How cute!Anyway, I'm not going to follow its suggestions. Instead, I'm going to say that these worked perfectly on my round-barrel Lenovo power brick, and made it possible to repair an IdeaPsd Yoga 11S, with its square-barrel power connector!And, with two in the set for less than other sellers' single adapter, these are a real steal! Including sales tax, I paid about $5 USD.

Works just as I needed. It doesn't take up much room. Most of all, it lets my power cord run along side the computer rather than perpendicular which puts a strain on the cord. I ruined a cord before I found this gem. I don't need three but two extras are better than none at all.

No sure why when I use this adapter and my old LENOVO T440s power supply, my LENOVO X1 Carbon laptop says the charge power is too low & I should use the charger supplied with my PC. However, when I use the "ELECJET AnyWatt SQ USB C to Slim Tip Adapter" with the same power supply to charge my X1 Carbon PC I get no error message. This adapter seems to limit the charging current available to my LENOVO X1 Carbon PC from my T440s power supply. The X1 charging does seem to work fine but takes a little longer.

Product shipped and arrived OK.I traded in my 420 Lenovo for a 440 after the 420 had served me very well and I liked the features. I hate just about everything on the 440 by comparison - especially the charger port. The rectangular socket seems to make the cord snag and tangle often. Plus, I owned two spare charger cords - one for my car and one at my office so I didn't have to lug one around all the time. I thought that they were useless.This new connector means that the cord is much more convenient and I can use my (expensive) spare cords.Now, I have to carry around a portable mouse because the "mousepad" on the 440 is so bad -- and I'll need a new battery soon? My spares for the 420 don't fit and it will probably be expensive. Did I mention that I hate the Lenovo 440?

The product seems to work. However, the USB-C cord doesn't charge at all (so I'm giving this product a four-star). I've bought a similar adapter with an attached USB-C, but once the flimsy USB-C connector snaps off, the entire adapter becomes unusable. This one seems to be better because it has a female USB-C connector, meaning the USB-C cables are replaceable.Nonetheless, I haven't tried the product for a long time. I'll upgrade to 5 stars if this product works well for months to come. Basically, those batteries can charge two of my Lizone Extra Pro batteries with Lenovo cable. I can charge my Google Pixel 2, my iPad Pro, and my Macbook Pro 2018.One concern I have with these adapters is that they get pretty hot when charging my MBP; I'm wondering how much power is loss. Is it pulling 65W from 90W source, and does that mean 25W is reserved for the heat loss? Perhaps, someone can clarify this to me.

These adapters convert the large round plug of older Lenovo chargers to the rectangular plug found in more recent Lenovo laptops. We use these in a school to extend the life of older chargers that no longer had a matching computer so that they become spare chargers for our newer generation devices. The fit of these plugs is solid, and they do their specific job very well.
