This is a very well-made, can opener that is sturdy, durable, and strong enough to open even the toughest cans. I think it’s kind of cool too, because it seems rather retro as well. Great purchase. I just use it in my kitchen but I think it would be great for camping!

I needed one of these for making 2 punch holes on large juice cans. Opening by a can opener was messy ! I reviewed these lille openers and this one has the wooden handle . No flimsy bending. I am quite pleased . I used to have a drawer full of these as they were given out free, but no more. Thank you for selling this on Amazon.

I remember growing up with an opener just like this. Sadly, this one is much more "lightweight" than the originals, and I question the sturdiness over time. I wonder if it can hold up for decades like that one. Time will tell. On the other hand, if you are looking for something lightweight for camping, a bugout bag, or the like ... then this would be perfect. It performs as well as the originals. It is definately a good value, and it comes in handy whether you simply do not want an electric opener or the power goes out.

I finally threw out my rusted, bent churchkey and invested a whopping six bucks in this quality can opener. I mainly use this to open cans of broth, and the pointy end does good work with that: grabs the edge of the can solidly and punches a decent hole in the lid without. Lot of effort on my part. The metal on this thing is thick so there's no possibility of bending it out of shape unless you grab some tools from the garage. The wood on the handle is a nice touch, makes this look like it was handcrafted with attention to quality and detail.

If you are like me, you are reading these reviews to see if this can punch will pierce a can without bending. This opener is strong. The item is made in China but is made of stainless steel. It grips the edge of the can appropriately, and the angle of the piercing tip is perfect and there is no give or bending as you apply pressure.The bottle opener works fine as well.

Fine looking piece, sturdy, clearly well made, with nice wood handle. Bigger than the usual metal ones, has a bit of heft. Can open stubborn caps or bigger caps with ease. Good value for the money.

Having owned our previous bottle opener for forty seven years, it had seen better days and a replacement was required. We couldn’t have made a better choice. Comfortable to hold and easy to use sums it up.

Easy to open can.. but wood parts hurt my figure. Not smooth surface. When I put into hot water.. wood handler will melt colour..

the item arrived, and the wooden handle was defective. the wood was chipped out on the side closest to the metal, causing the handle to be loose.tried to return or exchange, but despite being amazon prime, this item is apparently not eligible for return. so basically I'm throwing $11 in the trash. AVOID.
