Dog Muzzle, Breathable Basket Muzzles for Small, Medium, Large and X-Large Dogs, Stop Biting, Barking and Chewing (M - Border Collie, Black)

Bought this muzzle because the ones in the pet stores are fully closed on the ends and this one will allow her to still drink water. She will be wearing it a lot because we now also have a 1 year old female and the two have started fighting to be the Alpha girl. We like the construction and the features all at a good price. However even measuring the size we bought it is one size too large, but they have a great exchange policy. We did follow the recommendations for our Minature American Shepard, but it is a little tall by her eyes and generally loose around her muzzle. If we were to suggest anything it would be using a larger buckle so our fingers can unsnap it easier

After fitting this muzzle onto my Great Dane, within 10 minutes he had it off and chewed into bits. The nylon collar was thin and wouldn’t stay into place without being tied. He still got it off. The plastic basket part was flimsy and was also chewed into a dozen pieces.This is garbage. I went to Petsmart and found a quality basket muzzle for less. DON’T waste your money on this.

I feel like it would work if it fit my dog. The buckle in the back was loose and snapped open easily. It’s not the right fit nor style for my needs. I feel like I should size down. Hung too low even though I followed the products breed to size recommendations.

WE HAVE A SHEPHERD. I BOUGHT AN XL TO GIVE HIM ROOM. IT DIDN'T FIT HIS NOSE AT ALL, AND THE MIDDLE STRAP CAME OFF, OR MOVED OVER HIS EYE. I WORKED TO WRAP THE MUZZLE STRAPS ALL AROUND THE COLLAR AND ANYTHING I COULD TO KEEP IT ON HIM. WASN'T WORTH THE MONEY OR THE STRESS TO THE DOG.

Fits my Doberman just fine. I eased her into it with treats like the video showed. No problem. She's not worn it for any extended time but it's here if I need it. She was scared as a puppy by other dogs and has since been leery of other dogs and growls. This is to prevent a bad situation from happening.

I got this as a way to time out my German Shepherd when out of the house.She's my service dog, but she doesn't do social well- she wants to do her job and be left alone by random people.And lockdown has only made her social skills worse.🤦We live out on a farm, so it's only family.... Ever.When she gave attitude at a small party for my godchild, I put the muzzle on as time out.She laid down and pouted.But after I took it off she got the idea and enjoyed a good scruff rub by the kiddos.She's learning that pack is more than just the family we r always around...And the German Shepherd size was so big on her!This one fits in our travel bag, and honestly isn't being used....But I have it if I ever need it, and especially if we get hurt and separated...We have a muzzle that she knows means she needs to calm the heck down and stay still.So yeah.Good muzzle for us.

So far the dog likes the muzzle because she believes it to be a treat-dispensing device. It's really taking the pressure off me when walking her and knowing she can't grab the neighbourhood cats and smaller dogs. Whew! A load off my mind while we get her behaviour sorted out.If you're wondering whether it's a bad idea to get one, don't be stressed about it - you can always tell people your dog wears it so they won't eat poop, or grab baby bunnies in the spring. And it takes a lot of the pressure off when training a nervous/aggressive/reactive dog if you know they can't go off and get into the sort of trouble that could result in them having to be put down. All dogs are redeemable, it just takes time.The mask is sturdy, but also light and flexible, and the company is great - they sent me a smaller size when I ordered one too large, and they've got helpful tips they send with the mask so that I can set up a great relationship with the dog and muzzle right from the start. I recommend 100%.

Muzzle that arrived had a centre head strap, not like as advertised. So basically, what you receive is not what you thought you bought.
