No. Believe me on this one, because I was hoping for this as well. You'll need some high-waisted thing. This is a mid-rise sort of panty. The picture is deceiving for the height of it.

I usually wear a 12 in pants. What size should I get?

I ordered mine based on their size chart, and it seemed pretty accurate, so have a look at that. It's a little button right next to the color/size choice pulldown. I would guess you would take their size XXL but do check. Don't be put off by all those X's, size 12 is just fine. :-)

Do these roll down your tummy when walking/sitting or stay in place all day long?

They have worked for me and stay put without making me feel like I am being pinched all day. I will be ordering them again soon for my daughter too.

Do these squish down your hips too, or just your tummy? I don't want to lose my wide hips but I would like a little gut control

these are very comfortable, it dont hold tight to say it will reshape or contour your waistline. it just covers and gives little support.
