Excellent quality cable with very durable RJ45 connectors. Speed is Cat 7 as advertised when connected directly from a compatible modem to your computer with zero loss across 100 ft.I have mine installed in the crawlspace under my house, so there's no exposure to UV rays, but I'd have no concern with weathering or breakdown running it on the outside of the house or burying it as indicated. The cable unwinds without issue and does not knot up, but I always unwrap my cable and stretch full length before installing, just in case.And for those claiming data loss, I'm skeptical. Without any intermediate connections (un-managed hubs, etc) there's no way you're losing speed with this cable when it's directly connected from a capable modem to a capable computer. I've got this connected to low end, old equipment with a 300 kbps modem, 100 kbps internet service and a 10 year old computer. I purchased this particular cable because it was a weatherproof, buriable and a great deal, so figured why not just get the good stuff. It performs beyond my expectations and I will be purchasing again.

I purchased the 115 ft. cable. The cable works perfectly fine. I did have to terminate one end so I could run it through a small hole in the wall. My only complaint is that the NON solid color wires are all white, so you really have to be careful not to mess up the wire order when putting through a RJ45 connector end plug (I labeled the white wires with different color permanent markers so I didn't mess this up). The RJ45 connector plugs that I had laying around my house did not work as the individual wires would not go through the plug properly as the wire was too thick (the individual wires are not really stiff so this also prevented me from being able to shove them into my RJ45 plugs I currently had). I purchases VCE 5 PCS Gold Plated Shielded RJ45 Modular Plug for Cat6A/Cat7 Cable (ASIN B078SMF6ZN). These plugs worked well to terminate this cable.

I bought these because they have the best shielding that I could find. This cable comes into my radio room and I wanted shielded cable because CAT cables are known to pick up noise and introduce it to your receivers if they are anywhere near your antenna lines. One of my antenna cables runs parallel to my ethernet cable and was getting more noise in the reciever than several other antennas connected to the same reciever. After I ran this sheilded ethernet line my reciever noise on that antenna is the same as all the other antennas.This cable did exactly what I wanted it to Do!

I liked this cable. Heavy duty and can take abuse. I purchased the 150 ft version and it'll drive the outdoor POE cameras very nicely. /HOWEVER/ - most outdoor IP cameras come with a waterproof coupling. You can't get the coupling over this RJ45 end. That means that you have to either cut off the camera-end RJ45 and crimp on a new one. Assuming that you have the tools and the know-how so that you can use the waterproof coupling. If you don't have the tools or you can't be bothered you can substantially trim away the green plastic "boot" around the RJ45 until you can eventually force the waterproof coupling over it. It is a big hassle to do and when you have many cameras as do I it is a huge waste of time. I tried another brand of cable at the same time, also here on amazon.com, with the same specs. That brand had a soft rubber "boot" around the RJ45 and this boot could be slid backward, away from the RJ45 leaving plenty of space for the waterproof coupling. This other brand was quick, secure and painless. If you're not going to be using waterproof couplings are you don't mind cutting off and replacing the RJ45 then this is a great cable.

This cable we used in the attic area to go between 3 different building additions at a non profit, we live in a high EM area and generally have to use shielded cables otherwise the signal is extremely degraded. I cannot test the speed of the cable due to our equipment that plugs into it only goes up to a gigabit, but we are pushing almost 960ish Mbps between devices. If we actually had a modem and router that was rated at 10 Gbps, than we could test better.

Cat 7 definitely made a difference.We have "Fios Gigabit Connection" My gaming PC (sitting right next to the FIos wireless router) uses Ethernet (older standard 5 or 6) and will do in the 650 Mbps to 750 Mbps range.I purchased this cable because a laptop was getting 20 Mbps using wireless on the other side of the house. I had some conduit already in the necessary walls, which made getting the 130 foot cable there fairly straight forward. That laptop now runs 800 Mbps to 900 Mbps using the Cat 7 cable.

I bought this LAN cable to connect a brand new Kohler generator to my home's internet. It will be buried, although I asked the electrician to snake it through plastic conduit, which I thought was reasonable in this mountain environment in the snow states. It will be buried 12" underground, going from the generator's control board, then underground, then through the exterior of the house, and finally to my router. Works perfectly! My hope is this cable will last decades. From what I see, it will. Thick jacket, big, sturdy connectors. I believe this was the right choice for a crucial application in a brutally cold environment. I got this as a cable that I could run on the exterior of my home. They claim that it can be buried underground, and I believe that it appeared rugged enough for that type of duty. This is a nice cable, with a very good rubber coating, an interior shield, and individually wrapped twisted pair wires. Very heavy duty.
