KEEP SPARES ON HAND
We keep several of these on hand for when they burn out. Easy to install. Gets the boiler up and running in minutes. They are cheap enough that we can have a bunch hanging from the basement rafters, ready to go. They last about 2 heating seasons. Takes about 10 minutes to change. Saves a ton of money by not having to call a boiler repairman!

We have bought this a few times for our pellet grill. Fits great, not a bad price and easy to install.

It does as it is supposed to do.
I used this on a hot water boiler. The boiler is more than 43 years old. The thermocouple was replaced about every 7 years. I consider this quite normal for being in flame continuously.

If your pilot light shuts off immediately, this will probably fix it
The heat didn't come on the other day, so I went down to the furnace and realized, eventually, that the pilot light was out. I went through the reset process several times, and the light went out IMMEDIATELY upon letting go of the reset button. I looked around online and figured out pretty quickly it was probably this. I found the 24 inch one in Lowe's, which worked in a pinch, but really wasn't long enough, so I bought the 30 inch version. Fits a Weil-McClain gas boiler just fine. Once I figured out what was what in the furnace, as it was my first time working on one, the replacement was pretty easy, requiring only a screwdriver and adjustable wrench. If you get stuck, YouTube should be able to help you resolve any issues. Be sure to turn your thermostat off or all the way down before doing this, and turn off the gas to the furnace. You do NOT want the furnace to fire up in the middle of working on it.

I received a Resideo branded Thermocouple not a Honeywell branded Thermocouple. I compared the Resideo package and an older Honeywell package and the information is identical (including the company address in the US and support phone number). Apparently Resideo sells a range of products under the Honeywell Home brand through a long-term licensing agreement. The product looks good and is still assembled in Mexico (just like the Honeywell). Hope this clears up any confusion with the names.
