Growing nicely after months. (almost 1 year update)
My plant arrived in good shape and I immediately removed it from the protective packaging and watered it. I kept it out of direct sunlight for awhile (like two weeks) until it was able to adjust to the new environment on my living room. It is now about twice the size of when it arrived and have 5 large leaves now compared to the two when it arrived. Do not over water this plant and do not transplant it until the roots are growing out the bottom of the pot it comes in. Follow the included instructions. I've transplanted mine now to a larger container and it is doing well. I live in the southwest desert so this will remain an indoor plant in summer for sure at least until it is a much much larger tree that might be able to handle the heat and I'm not sure it will ever be able to do that, but I'll see once it becomes a small tree in time.--------------------------------------------UPDATE 2/19/2021--------------------------------------------This banana grows pretty fast now. It is very healthy with just water and a semi sandy soil to a semi silty soil. I just mixed sand, silt and potting soil together and it seems to appreciate that mixture quite well. It likes about half a cup to a cup of water a day depending on how fast the soil is drying out each day. It seems to like fairly well draining soil but it need to retain moisture in the soil, thus the silt. Do not let the soil dry out. I made that mistake and the plant started getting droopy pretty fast. I haven't fertilized it yet as it seems happy enough. I'm not inclined to fertilize when a plant is happy and doing well. Plus I'm not sure what to give this plant yet as I haven't really looked into what bananas like and prefer. The leaves are getting quite large now as each new one comes up from the center and outwards. It takes about 2 to 3 weeks I guess for a new leaf to appear and fully make it's way out. I haven't really keep a record so I am just estimating that. But they appear regularly and are larger each time. The old leaves appear to last a very long time before I eventually need to cut them off with scissors. But for the most part I leave the plant alone as much as possible and it happily lives it's life and grows. This banana plant went from it's original tiny container to a Del Taco large drink cup (with holes in the bottom for drainage) to a small plant pot to a medium (around 2 gallon) plant pot to a 5 gallon Lowes bucket (again, with hole in the bottom for drainage) in less than a year. When you transplant this thing be very careful and gentle. These little banana plants are pretty delicate and crush and break easily. Make sure your soil is dislodged from the container and slide the whole thing out as 1 unit and immediately place into a new pot that was made ready before transplanting. You don't want to leave the roots exposed to sunlight for very long. Also, do not pull on the banana stalk to get it out of the container. You will likely end up breaking, ripping and tearing the plant and kill it.I live in the desert and we have extreme weather (super hot in summer and fairly cold in winter) so this might turn out to be a permanent house plant. When it gets bigger and hardier I will start to acclimate it to the outside and see if it can handle some of the weather here or not. Right now I keep it inside at night (winter time) and inside during the day in the summer time. Also, I happen to use cold humidifier, living in the desert, indoors since it is so dry where I live and I happen to keep it right next to my banana plant and the plant appears to like the humidity.I will try to update when it gets bigger.

Pictures on add not actual
On the add the photos make it appear as at least 1 ft tall but when received they were about 5 inches. Over priced for the plant size. Ordered 3 total was over $100.Will never buy from this seller again.

This plant didn't live a week after I planetrd and I did everything I was told in the directions. Really wasted that money. I'd live to get a refund

It’s in rough shape
So, I’m not going to get ugly. It’s a tropical plant and it came from across country. However, at the moment it looks pretty rough. I think whomever packed it over watered it before it was sent. The leaves are all brown. Perhaps it is in shock. We will give it a week or so and see if it bounces back. If not, I I’ll ask for a replacement. Hopefully it does bounce back. Keeping a positive outlook.

Take a chance if u have a green thumb!
I didn't like ordering a plant online! BUT, as you can see in the picture, the small plant on the stand is the one i ordered. It's about 5 months old and has been in my house the entire time. I did exactly as the instructions said! The tree survived! In the Spring time all of my trees will be planted outside so they can grow to the fullest extent. Then cut down, covered with lots of mulch and tarp, and preserved over the Winter for the growth of new pups in the Spring. I have 8 in the ground now waiting to reveal how many pups it will give me in the Spring. I live in South Central Michigan.
