Excellent Product - Excellent Customer Service
Wonderful machine and the company and it's distributors stand behind their product and offer excellent customer service. Over the years I have purchased a couple Sun Joe products and have always been happy with them, so when I needed a new tiller, I went with Sun Joe and I'm glad I did. This machine has a lot of power, yet is not unmanageable. It has various settings to allow you to dig deep into the soil, or just scrape the surface for things like seeding. I was using the tiller on the deepest setting to dig a vegetable garden from scratch. The tiller dug deep down on the first pass and totally turned the turf, mulching it up as I went. Then "BOOM", I hit a rock, and then another one, in all honesty, the tiller took a pretty significant beating but kept on working. Apparently however, the beating took it's toll, and eventually, the tiller assembly sheared off. Again, it took a beating before getting to that point. I notified the distributor SpreeTail through Amazon and they were extremely responsive. I admitted to them that I had hit some rocks, but they didn't seem to care. They immediately started the process for me to return the tiller free of charge and they replaced it with a brand new one. In all honesty, I think my tiller endured more than the normal wear and tear covered by the warranty, but within a week of sending it back, I had a brand new tiller. I will be much more careful with this one, starting at a lesser depth so that I am not surprised by big rocks buried deep underground that the blade encounters full on. Bottom line, I recommend this tiller and Sun Joe products without hesitation. This thing is a power house and gets the job done... Just be more careful than I was and should have been.

Great warranty!
This worked great in helping us prep the ground for our above ground pool. It's a powerful little machine and a great deal for the price. It was easy to use too. I just had to be aware of not eating up the extension cord. However the plastic handle cracked at the end of the project. But I was able to duct tape it together to finish the project. 😂 then I called sunjoe and they sent us a new one! Thankfully I had already registered ours for the warranty. I would definitely buy from this company again.

Excellent for home gardeners
The design of this tiller makes it so easy to use. It was easy to construct, is very sturdy, and works like a charm. We used this for our garden beds around the house and the machine handles very well, does not make you feel unstable when using. Even my wife used it and found it to be easy to operate without having to muscle it around.

Great light duty tiller. Durable and easy to use.
This is an excellent tool. I've used it for the past 3 years and have never had a problem. It cuts through soil like butter and is highly maneuverable. I have a 20 x 30 garden and it has made light work of tilling that space. It's actually a joy to use - I can do 3 or 4 passes over that area of ground in about 40 minutes, and that includes a couple minutes of break time in between each pass - not that I really need a break, since the machine is light and does almost all the work for you. Since it's an electric motor, I like to give it a little bit of cool down time every ten minutes or so just to be safe, but I don't think it really needs it. I'd guess it could run continuously for 30-45 minutes without any trouble. I use a heavy duty 12/3 extension cord with it, but that's probably overkill. I'm sure you could get by with a standard 16 ga. The blades are a bit thin and close together, so they can sometimes get clogged if you're running over a lot of long, dry, woody stems, but I've found the unit pretty easy to clean if you use your head about it, and it's simple to avoid clogging if you prepare your ground beforehand. Really, the thin blades are a pro rather than a con, since they cut through vegetation so readily. Remember, this is meant for light duty tilling. It's not a gas machine, and it's not designed to dig into truly hard, rocky soil. It tears up grass and cuts through hard weed root balls with no difficulty, and the occasional rock poses no difficulty or risk. Use it for its intended purposes, and it will not disappoint you. In 3 years of standard garden and residential yard use, this tiller has never once failed me, and it seems durable enough that it should last a long time yet. I have no complaints at all - a fine machine at an excellent price. Buy it.

Powerful... Deep... Value... Quality...
If your looking for a Electric Corded Tiller get this one. For a corded tiller this thing is powerful. It literally just eats through the untouched dirt with ease. I recommend tilling the top layer of the ground and then raking out the grass so it don't get tangled around the blades of the tiller. Then you can till however deep you want to. It tills down through the dirt fast though. The wheels can be adjusted up so the tiller can go into the ground deeper. It's a versatile time saving machine built to last. The materials are all quality and durable. I like the colors of the material. It's super easy to assemble and put together. At $99 it's definitely a value for the money. I didn't expect it to be this powerful and was a little hesitant to make the purchase at first. But now I'm glad I did and you will be too. It also comes with a free 2 year warranty that needs to be registered online. Just check it out for yourself!!!

Power
Easy to put together, easy to use and not to heavy to lift. My common sense left me when it came to pulling the part out to move the wheels, but I did figure it out. At first I kept stopping after a minute of use to get the wire grass that wrap around the blades off but I didn't need to worry. It stilled work with how it was tilling my rocky soil. Didn't use it long but it got the job done for what I wanted. This was my first time using a tiller, so it was pulling me along but I got the hang of it. So far it functions well, it has a good depth and it is worth what I paid.

Mows through tough grass!
I wanted to build a patio with pavers, but we had to remove our tough grass first. We tried with the ole' shovel and edging tool, but our bodies are not in our twenties anymore, and after thirty minutes of trying to shovel through grass roots I was done. I found this electric tiller, and we have the Sun Joe brand leaf blower that is still kicking after a couple years, so we went with this brand. My husband assembled it, so I cant say how in depth the assembly was. I will say, I was in the house, and went outside, and that's when I realized he had already put it together and was halfway done. I never once heard this from inside my house. Now, I've seen tons of people review this for their gardens, but I needed it to be a sod remover. And did it work? Wonderfully! You can see in my pictures below, this is the before, and after. All I did was take a rake and drag the grass roots that were tilled up out. Now, this is the highest wheel setting, meaning it only went a little bit in the ground! You can go move the wheels (I watched my husband do it, and he unplugged the device, and had it turned off before touching this area) by moving the wheels forward and backward until it catches in the groove. He could have lowered this much more for more in depth till, but we weren't sure what was under the ground, and we found a concrete paver that had sunk over the years. Our house is old, and we figured there might be old ones buried. I did end up holding the extension cord simply to help him as he went up and down so he wasn't trying to push it out of his way while using the device. But he managed to clear a 10x14 area in minutes. He did find a few roots, and had to turn off/unplug the device as one got stuck in the blades. He did get it out easy, but I do recommend putting this on the shallow setting first, versus using the max depth just in case you do come across roots. If you're looking for an item to remove sod or to make a little garden, this is definitely it! It works great on my grass and ground that has never been tilled before. We also have a pool that we're getting ready to put up, and he used this to till the ground again as we rented a big, expensive, piece of equipment, and it still wasn't perfectly level. With the tiller, he managed to get the ground level, and is now going to till further to make a drainage area we were lacking. By far, the best back saving tool we've bought!

Works good
Wanted a cheap, small tiller for the garden - this one does the trick. Got it for an amazing price on a Warehouse Deal(thanks whoever returned it for the dinged up box, the tiller was in perfect condition), works like a charm. Used it on a garden patch that hasn't really been touched in a few years but a couple passes and it was all torn up and ready for use again. Yeah, pull it backwards to really let it do its job but that is pretty standard with these smaller tillers. No complaints with this one - does what I need.

Wowza!
As a starter, I am not one of those people who frequently comments or rates things that I buy on Amazon. We received our Sun Joe today (lovingly named Josephine), and tried it out on our raised beds. Like a lot of other reviews state, this thing is a beast! If you are looking for a smaller tiller, this is your choice! A few things I love about her: 1. It's light. I can easily pick this up and set it into my raised beds, and move it between beds. It's got great handles on it to grab it with (nothing that digs into your fingers, bonus!), and isn't awkward to carry. 2. For being a tiller, it's fairly quiet. Has that electric motor sound to it... think Shop Vac, but a little quieter. 3. It really chews up the dirt. Our first bed, we thought would be easy. Previously an onion bed, with little 'garbage' left from last year. No issue. Finished with our last bed, which didn't work out last year, and had a summer's worth of hard grass mat and clumps of old beets. Boom. Done. Another bed had last year's big tomato stems and root balls in it, and Josephine easily tore through it. 4. Although a little rough at the start (legit, this thing is powerful, like powerful), once you figure out how to use it, it's really easy to use. Watch it around the wooden borders of a raised bed (nothing major will happen, but it will bounce off the wood and surprise you), but it gets really close to the edges, meaning less weeding! It moves through soil like butter. I recommend doing a couple passes if you are looking to break down/incorporate new soil, but that won't take long! I will be using this in my in-ground bed for weeding between rows as the summer passes, but require the depth of my bigger Honda to work in some new manure and dig the clay of Northern Ontario. That said, this tiller would be great for any gardener looking for an easier option to work the ground.

Un producto útil aunque limitado.
El producto es bueno en tierra que no tenga pasto, cuando hay un poco de hierba no hay problema. La potencia es limitada y no se puede trabajar por tiempos prolongados.
