does weight need to be added to emboss the cement with the roller?

Hi Jennifer, In most cases,yes. Once the concrete is firm enough to stamp, you can add a small amount of pressure or weight as you roll it. If you start rolling early and the concrete is still a little to wet for perfect imprints, you can also lightly lift up on the roller as you pull it across the surface. Can you dip this in paint and roll the pattern onto curred concrete?

No. The rollers are made of a hard foam rubber, so they're not going to absorb and release the paint like normal rollers. They're designed to emboss the concrete. And the grain pattern repeats every couple of inches...which works with concrete, but probably wouldn't with paint.

Do I need to use a release with these rollers?
