Demistified investing for me and my kid -- fun and practical life skill learning!
Super book! Very easy to learn about investing! Makes it simple so you come away with the ability to actually try it out -- invest in a few stocks and watch what happens. Demystifies the whole process for me and my kid! I bought the book to read with my son because he was interested in investing. He's in middle school. We enjoyed reading it together. He could have read it on his own but I wanted to learn how to invest as well. The illustrations make it fun and easy to follow as does the story. My kid could relate to the teens and I was amused by the parents. There are straightforward and easy steps on how to do the math needed -- again, making it so anyone can do this! Really a fun thing to do with my son. I'll give it as a gift too for the right kid! Something unique because it's practical too. Offering kids a chance to make money on their own! Learning a practical life skill.

Simple explanations of complex concepts
I have read and used many books before to get an idea of what the stock market is about, and what it would mean to the average common investor like myself. This book clarified many things for me, such as, growth investor versus value investor, and many other concepts that shaped how I think about the stock market for the sake of investing not entirely in the dark.Because of the simplicity of the language, I recommend this book for young people as well as adults.

Good for kids but a little dated.
Quality information overall, but didn’t flow well at times because a revised addition is needed. I would recommend this book, but let the buyer know that some information is dated.

Very good basic basic primer on stocks.
Far too often, even "for dummy" books on a topic are overcomplicated, rife with undefined language and difficult to follow. We were looking for a very, very simple introduction to stocks. This is it.

Easy and Quick Read
I gave this book to my son who wanted to share it with his young kids under 10. The basics are easy to understand and the drawings made it fun. This is a great starting book for anyone with an interest in investing in the stock market.

Accessible Learning!
We are doing a whole unit study on finance. This book has been phenomenal for that. We have read a couple pages at a time then discussed the material. There's lots of lessons here all made very accessible for young students!

Too basic
Bought as a gift for my son who is interested in finance but he said the book was too basic. Probably better for a middle school student.

An obviously contrived fiction story to teach kids about the stock market
This 60-page book dedicates half of its content to a contrived story about a family of five, where the parents, knowledgeable about the stock market, teach their children financial lessons using scenarios that cover topics like dividends and P/L sheets. Despite the author's intention to educate children in an engaging way, the overtly fabricated nature of the story may alienate young readers, as it lacks the believable, relatable elements found in narratives like "Rich Dad Poor Dad."The book suffers from significant plot inconsistencies. For example, the father initially suggests his modest investment in "Fire Is Now Company" could afford luxuries like a bike, a car, and a holiday, only to later reveal his stake was just $1,000. Additionally, a neighboring character's drastic decision to sell his house after a stock loss does not align with the value of his remaining shares, supposedly worth $800,000, causing confusion about the story's financial logic. The quality of the illustrations does not match the text. For instance, illustrations show the young protagonist in his usual attire during a supposed special occasion, and the father points to an oversized poster when the text describes a newspaper cutout. Other production issues include visible pixelation in images, inconsistent font styles, and poor layout choices such as inadequate line spacing and text padding, which might indicate the book was designed for digital formats like Kindle without proper adaptation.Unclear target audience and overly technical content in a story format suggest a mismatch between the educational intent and the execution. The wordy paragraphs further complicate reading aloud to children, making the educational purpose less effective.

Excellent for teaching finances to Children
I highly recommend this book for 8 yrs old up. Stories and cartoons are used to teach and capture the attention of the young. Have to admit that some adults could learn a lot from this as well. I think my kids are now more financially literate than many adults.

A great introduction to stocks for kids!
I bought this book to help explain the difficult concept of investing to my children. The idea of a stock being just a piece of a company really brought the idea of what they were about and it made them excited to invest for themselves. I had to explain some concepts to them because they didn't go deep enough in the book but that's my job as a parent.

Badly written and ate £6 of my money to return this bad book
Really badly written, not something I could read to my boy to educate him. Then I had to PAY £6! to return it?!

Best capital market books for children
The best educational book about capital markets for children I’ve ever read. Keeps everything simple and covers the basics but touches on more complex topics such as how to calculate PE and Market Capitalization.
