I received this product a few days ago and it is better than I expected. The quality far exceeds the other leashes I have been using for large dogs. I can use with my small dogs but is definitely made very durable for large active dogs. The tape is strong but light and retracts without tangling from any angle. I bought it for our 6 month old puppy. So we want to bring him a stretchable long, so that he can freely , but don't go too far when we need him to be close.The leash is smooth, the puppy did not chew it. The lead case is very light and strong, the handle is non-slip and comfortable to hold. The belt retracts smoothly from the holster, does not slip and fall. I would highly recommend this product if you are searching for a good quality reasonably priced leash.

When I found this leash, I figured it was worth a try and I was right! Its light weight, small, but also very resistant. Our old leash was made of a kind of fine rope material that easily got tangled. This is not the case with this leash! I love the thickness of the leash and it moves in and out of the retractable base very smoothly. It is built to last. I also like the stop button. Very easy to use with a single finger. The length of the collar is also great, it can feel some freedom, but I can easily 'pull' it back. And not least, it already comes with the poo bag compartment, and that's wonderful. I can have my hands free to play with my dogs. Altogether - a great leash I highly recommend.

I have purchased 3 of these leashes. I have 2 beagles. They are pretty sturdy. The 1st one I purchased was on October 6, 2020 and the leash just wore out not too long ago this year. So its been a little over 2 years which I would say is pretty good. So I recently purchased a 3rd one to replace it. I would have given it 5 stars but the bag holder will not stay clipped to the leash. It falls off constanly and I lost one of them. The same issue is happening with this new one. Also, the free bags that come with it are EXTREMELY THIN AND a bit cheap. GREAT LEASH, otherwise.

As soon as I opened the box, it looked like it was solidly constructed. As soon as I picked it up, it felt solidly constructed. The ribbon is nicely made, and has a solid leash clip. As soon as I picked up my other leash, I realized that it was a lot heavier. I weighed it vs my other leash and it was a good 4 oz heavier, 5.5 oz if you add on the bag holder. Since I have two dogs, you're talking an additional 1/2 lb of leash. I also didn't like the locking mechanism, as I thought it had a pause feature, where you press the control arm to temporarily stop the leash, but doesn't lock the leash. The only leash that makes this feature anymore is Target brand of leashes. Our puppies have not outgrown their tendency to "chase" animals yet, so having a pause feature is a nice way to arrest their movement without locking the leash to a particular length. This leash forces you to fully engage the locking mechanism. Ergonomically, the handle is a tad to far back to easily engage or disengage the lock. The bag dispenser is a little flimsy in how it attaches to the leash. I can see where they've added reinforcing tape to the tabs to keep them from breaking. Personally, this entire feature is overkill and would be either tossed or stored in a drawer. Ideally, I would prefer a clip on the bottom of the leash to hold empty or used bags. I bought these because the poop bag holder is attached to the leash housing. I really don't like the sound of the poop bag holder crashing against the housing. Here is my honest review (I bought three - I have three dogs): The Good The fit and finish is very good. Sort of the Ferarri of retractable leashes. The black and white is classy. The grip is nicely rubberized and feels high end. The leash itself is black, which is nice, and the clip is very strong and sturdy - nicely overbuilt if you ask me. The OK (Matters of Taste) The switch design (versus a button) is challenging to handle with one hand (never mind with one dog). Its hard to reach to stop the dog in an emergency. The Ugly (And Dangerous) The reason for having (in my opinion) a retractable leash is to give the dog(s) more freedom to sniff around on a walk. That freedom requires (1) a reliable stop function and (2) reliable retraction. These leashes (all three!) failed miserably here. The stop function, setting aside its hard to reach with one hand, is unreliable. In an emergency (another dog, pile of poop begging to be sniffed, bicyclists wizzing by), these leashes fail with the stop function with the dreaded clicking sound as additional leash is released against the pressure of the stop function. In addition, the leashes dont predictably retract. Any small twist in the leash (or any other circumstance) prevents the leash from retracting, leaving the leash piled up on the ground - or worse, the dog where you don't want the dog to be. These failings not only undermine the purpose of having the leash, they also create dangerous situations for the dogs. Conclusion As pretty as these are, they are form over function and dangerous. I bought three and all three suffered from the same issues. Returning today and looking for something safe for my boys.

Great quality retractable leash. The handle is comfortable to hold and so far the product is very durable. I’ve used retractable leashes where the locking mechanism feels flimsy, that’s not the case with this product. Great for a large dog. I like that it comes with an attachable waste bag holder (and bags!); the bag holder is a bit hard to get locked into place, but once in it’s positioned well so it’s not in the way of the handle.

This leash never lived up to my hopes or expectations. The poop bag holder never latched on correctly and the plastic clip ended up breaking anyways while trying to reattach it for the 100th time. The breaking system on the button was difficult to use because it has to be pushed down and forward to work at all, resulting in failure to work at all while my dog was pulling away. I dropped the leash once and it stopped working all together. I threw away this leash after less than a month and went with a different brand.

The shape of it makes it very easy to use and control the length of the leash, and the grip is not really good non-slip but the contour of the handle makes it easy to hold with a firm grip when the dogs pull on it. This leash works great-it smoothly lets the dog run forward a bit or stop and the leash keeps up without any issues. It is a bit heavy however that is because it is made well. The tape is strong, the pulley action smooth. Leash automatically goes with the dog retracting and letting out as needed without a yank or pull to be had.

Leash broke on its own after daily use just after 3months of use... also the ribbon cord is constantly twisting on its self. Don't buy

My husband has no issue reaching the locking mechanism however I am unable to with my small hands. Poop bags are short with a wide opening which caused me to have accidents while picking up the poop :( Further, the poop bag holder fell off twice on my walk. Also, the leash always have a bit of tension unlike my old retractable leash.

The locking mechanism keeps sticking and the leash will not fully retract anymore. I've had it for two weeks
