Would a mobile phone power pack run this?

Okay for paluntarium? I want this as a waterfall feature, so the water needs to get to top of tank which is nearly 10", is it powerful enough?

I use it for starting the suction to partially empty the tank. To do this it has to raise the water about 10 or 11 inches which it does quite satisfactorily. Hope this helps

Do I need to buy an adaptor to plug it in ?

It needs a usb socket you can get a 13amp three pin plug with usb ports built in . it is a brilliant little pump but will clog up with debri now and again so keep an old toothbrush handy to clean it . If you place the pump on the bottom it will block up quickly . I secured mine to a large 4 inch cork so it floats on the surface where the water is more clean . mine is in a garden pond but if you have it in a glass tank of course you can stick it to the side near the top .
