This is so awesome!
I had so much fun with this kit! The sluice box really works, and it yielded both fine and flake gold, as well as garnets. Folding out and assembling the sluice doesn’t require any tools and it only takes a minute or two. The rucksack is actually pretty high quality. The inside of the rucksack is lined with fabric, and the outside is reinforced with heavy cotton canvas. I put in the extra effort to make this kit even more awesome by waxing the outside of the rucksack. It looks even better now, and it’s a little more durable and water resistant. I also took apart the sluice box and de-burred the sharp edges and corners of the aluminum. There is enough room in the ruck sack for more than just the sluice box. In fact, I was able to fit everything I needed, including a 3 gallon collapsible bucket, a 15” gold pan, a classifier, a prospecting scoop, and a small pick mattock. That’s a tight fit though! The outside pockets held my drinking water and snacks, my snuffer bottle, tweezers, vials, magnetic black sand separator, gloves, etc. I suppose my only complaint is that the carabiners that attach the nylon carrying strap to the sluice box are so low-quality the leaf spring on one broke the first time I used it. I replaced them with some nicer ones because I actually do find the straps useful for pulling the sluice out of the rucksack, and for hanging the sluice up to drip dry before packing it back up. If you like the idea of hiking AND prospecting, this might just be the best way to start doing that! I would recommend this set.

Great Buy
Amazing product for the price! High quality, light weight, convenient and functional. Easily fits in the backpack and is such a fun addition to our camping and long hiking trips. Edges are sharp, we ended up packing ours with some foam in order not to rip the backpack, however, this is par for the course with a mining tool.

Decent Quality
This is a compact sluice box and seems to be of good quality, just don't over tighten the wing nuts because you could cause it to break the bolt tac weld. I like the backpack it comes with and is a nice canvas quality bag. Plenty of pockets for all your gear. I don't care for all of the moss mats in the sluice box, it would be better with just a rubber mat, I'll have to find one. I bought one but it didn't fit that well. I'll just use it how it comes. For $150 it should have came with a single rubber mat

MUST HAVE!!!
This is one of the greatest buys I have made. The sluice box is very well made out of stainless steel. Its heavy duty. The mats are really nice. It has the pans for small spots. There is a larger rock sorting mesh basket. It comes with a small shovel that folds up. Then there is a lot of smaller misc items in the bag. The back pack is heavy duty. It has the chest strap as well to help stabilize the pack. It is rather heavy so if you are not in the best of shape you may find packing this very far to be a challenge. Make sure that you set up in a good water flow part of the stream and get your angle right. There are several videos online that help guide you through how to properly set up your sluice for maximum efficiency. I recommend you also check your state laws as there are places and streams where it is illegal to set up portable sluices and "mine" for gold. Know your laws.

Easy to pot together
I haven't used it yet. It unfolds nice. Easy to put together. Not too heavy.

Better than the photos
The quality of everything is amazing. The backpack is way way better than I imagined. I really thought that thr bag was gonna be a throw away and I was buying for all the other items. But the bag is so nice. Everything about this purchase was amazing. Iv been a gold miner for years and this is something I will be back tonpurchase more of. My only recommendation is to add pay dirt, so a beginner can practice.

Backpack not stitched very well
Upon arrival the backpack came with a rip in the middle pouch cover. There’s also no pad on the pack so the sluice will be right up against your back. We over looked the rip and decided to hike down to the local creek and messed with the items. Everything went well until we returned home. As I took the backpack off I reached back to grab it and the weight of the pack, which only had the items that it came with, was enough for one of the pocket covers to rip off. As far as the equipment goes, everything fit in the bag and seemed to work well. Beginner gold sifters here so not sure what that is worth but we’re still excited.
