The worst short-story spin-off I've ever read
I *loved* Alex in Delirium. I'm talking full-on amor deliria nervosa. I read the other character spin-offs from Delirium, and enjoyed them, but all the while I was waiting for Alex's story.Every time a short story is released as a spin-off, I see comments from people slamming on them for being too short, or not being worth the price. I always ignore these comments because I end up getting some insight into a world and characters that I love, so it ends up being worth it.This is the first time I have agreed with the naysayers. Not only was this almost comically short, it provided zero insight into the character of Alex, or the series at all. I'm upset that Lauren Oliver put such little effort into a character that I loved so much.

Well written but ends too soon
**SPOILERS**I think a lot of the negative comments about this book are overly harsh. It was well written and interesting. My biggest problem was that it ended short of the perspective you really wanted to read about (when he finally finds Lena!). The entire story leads up to it, and just like the other shorts, it ends too soon leaving you wanting more. I really wish the author would write a full book from the other characters perspectives. I know we all want to know who Lena ends up with and how the relationship conflicts at the end of requiem turns out. She hints but it's really not completely resolved.

Blah...
This was just blah... i mean it was interesting to know how Alex escaped and how he got to find Lena but I wanted to get to know Alex on a deeper, more personal level but it just barely scrapes the surface. I wanted to know his history (you get a teeny, tiny part of it) and how he felt, what his thoughts were when he was with Lena while she was with Julian but you don't get to know any of it. It was just an OK read but it still leaves you wanting to know more...37 pages just isn't enough!

I was annoyed because I had read the sample beforehand and it ...
I was frustrated with this because it was listed as Book 4, but left out so much of Alex's story. I was hoping it would go past the events of Book 3 so we could know what happens between him and Lena in the end, but it just stops abruptly before he even finds Lena again. Mainly, I was annoyed because I had read the sample beforehand and it was exactly the length of the entire book I had purchased.

Do not buy this “book.”
Very disappointed. I can’t believe I paid for this. Just a scam to get the fans to spend their money. All the parts we all want to know about Alex were left out, and it awkwardly ended right before he and Lena met up so we have no idea what he really was thinking or anything following.

I don't really like the way the kindle version was set up on ...
I think it's a little short, and very jumpy in the plot. I don't really like the way the kindle version was set up on the kindle cloud reader. But the whole book really didn't clear much up from what happened at the end of Delirium.

Disappointing
I wanted more. This is Alex. I wanted to know if he's loved before. I wanted to know his view when he saw Lena with her new man. I wanted more and this was quite disappointing.

Let down, waste of money, far too short
It took me only 10 minutes to finish the book, expecting it to be a full on retell of the series in Alex's point of view. Instead, it started off with Alex in the Crypts and ended without him even finding Lena yet.

... this book as I thought it would give a better insight into Alex
i was really looking forward to reading this book as I thought it would give a better insight into Alex. I was a bit disappointed as it didn't really have much about him, I was expecting a full length book but was only a few chapters. Although I do recommend the series Delirium as it was captivating and as a great message.

Very short, half the book was an extract for a new book :(
Not really happy with this book. Kinda a waste of money as you can pretty much guess Alex's story from the trilogy. Didn't fill any blanks and most of it was an extract for a different book.

... reviews saying not to buy it because it's a waste of money
I read a heap of reviews saying not to buy it because it's a waste of money, I don't think this is true, I enjoy every last scrap of detail I can get about beloved characters, especially Alex. I do however agree with others, it is very short and ends way too abruptly. This makes sense because it is meant to be read between the first and second books of the series, so we are not meant to know more because the story hasn't advanced yet. If it told the whole story there'd be no point reading pandemonium and requiem. What shocked me was that when you get halfway through it just ends and the other half is an excerpt from a different book. That was sad, false hope of a longer story. But I still enjoyed it

I love Alex
Reading this book I have confirmed my opinion...I love Alex, his strength and his love for Lena are unique.I am sorry that the book has not been translated into other languages. Lauren Oliver is the best.
