Saphir Natural Crepe Wood Brush for Cleaning Suede & Nubuck Leather Shoes

OMG! I cannot believe how well this brush works on my suede and nubuck! I have had suede shoes in storage for years. I bought some used Timberline boots and this brush worked so well that I used it on my over 10 year old shoes. All of my suede and nubuck now look stunning and brand new!

I decided to buy this suede brush after buying a nice pair of suede shoes I wanted to maintain. I chose this one over the other rubber brushes I saw because the rubber ribbons seemed more compact and better secured to the wooden base. Since I haven't used other suede brushes before, I can't say how this one compares, but I can say that this brush works really well. The material is a lot like those rubber cement erasers you buy in craft stores. I tested it on an old, really dirty pair of nubuck shoes, and with a little bit of elbow grease, 90% of the deep smudges were gone and the flattened nap was restored. The brush is still in good shape afterwards, none of the ribbons are coming apart from the base. Just like a pencil eraser, it did wear down slightly and I imagine it will need to be replaced eventually. I'm pretty impressed haha.

The slightly sticky texture of this brush is suitable for wearing away suede. You can get rid of shallow dirt marks or renew the nap of your suede this way. Unfortunately, it doesn't remove deep stains.

Works perfectly, to keep my nubuck Allen Edmonds looking new... Would absolutely buy again.

Nice new brush scheme for suede maintenance

This is a great brush. I have a pair of suede drivers that I have not used a brush on for years and they were looking pretty shabby. I used this brush recently to brush my shoes and my drivers look almost new. The brush really brings out the suede and cleans at the sometime. There are a few stains that did not come out, but that is probably my fault. Great brush and I would recommend this brush to anyone.

It really does pull the dirt out. I bought the liquid suede cleaner of the same brand (forgot the french name) so together they get the job done.

All my shoe care products are Saphir item. I bought a pair of black nubuck Caterpillar boots for my Christmas. So I thought I would buy this brush to keep my boots nice and clean. But I would say it's more for removing stubborn stains then anything else. I have a Saphir dabber brush which has a row of nylon brussels on the out side and brass brussels on the inside of them. What I have found best to do is if it's just little marks on the nubuck give the boots a quick go over with the dabber brussel brush. But when the marks or stains are heavier use this crepe brush. When finish it off with the dabber brush this just brings the boots back to a new look again.
