Speakers Dual XLR Female Connectors, Black Stainless Steel Wall Plate

All I can say is that this stuff is top quality that you can feel as soon as you touch it. All metal. I am setting up a karaoke for wife, so I needed to ran two cables from the display through the attic then down through the wall to the mixer/equalizer, and this plate made the job to look pro.

These SA SA-Plate3 were a very worthy investment, and I will keep buying them as long as the quality is this good.

Well made, but you'll have to tighten the screws & nuts that are very loose, one even had fallen off inside the package. It's painted matte black, but is not stainless steel. Magnets stick to the plate very well, which they will not stick to stainless 304 or 316.

The back side of the plate's connectors aren't positioned correctly, so the cords won't stay plugged into the back. I had to try and electrical-tape the cord to the back, but I've have to remove the plate and press the XLR cable back on weekly.

The price was great, however the quality is marginal. The connectors themselves are as cheap as I’ve seen. I would use them only in locations where you plan to leave things connected, rather than plug and unplug many times. The mounting plate itself is painted black and the paint chips easily. The plate itself is fairly thin and deforms when attached to an outlet box. All that being said, the product and it’s price are in line. If you don’t expect pro-quality, you’ll probably be satisfied.

I'll preface this by saying I'm new to soldering. The connectors on these wall plates are too small, so it's challenging to solder the cable to them. In some cases I had so much difficulty I swapped them out and bought some generic female connectors, which were much easier to work with. The size and screw location of the female jack seems to be universal, so it wasn't hard to swamp them out. So if you're looking for a cheap plate, these will do, but beware you may have to swap out the jacks. In fact, do yourself a favour and do that first so you don't waste a whack of time. I bought more of their plates and on their male jacks, they have bigger connectors, so this isn't an issue.
