Q: If you can’t fill the pineapple balloon with helium, what are you supposed to fill it with that will make it float?

Hi, you may blow it up with an air pump and stick it onto the wall. The pineapple balloon is simply not supposed to float, unless you don't care it will float upside down.

Q: Do the balloons need helium or can they be air-filled? Does this come with a straw?

They can be air-filled. Or if you want them to float, then you can fill them with helium. But pls don't fill the pineapple balloon with helium, as it will float upside down due to design. The package doesn't come with a straw, as it would almost be impossible to blow up so many big balloons ourselves. We strongly suggest that you use a balloon pump.
