This is the best beard/facial hair trimmer I've ever owned. As someone who's had a mustache and/or beard for the better part of 45 years, I've tried my share of trimmers. I bought my first Wahl trimmer maybe 10 years ago and it worked great for that time until the battery got weak and part of the plastic frame around the driver started to crack, but for it to last as long as it did, I have no complaints. I recently replaced that one with a new one of the same style (Black Friday price was too good to pass up at around $45) and look forward to many years of the same performance. It does a great job of trimming hair and has many attachments for various tasks. It holds a charge for a long time and even though this one costs more than some others, it is well worth the upfront money considering its durability.

Works great. I replace a an older 1 inch beard trimmer. This one give a wider cut and is of course sharper. Nice assortment of attachments. The newer trimmer body fits the hand better than the older style.

Me pasé horas buscando una solución para mantenimiento de barba que tuviera un cabezal superior para el rasurado. Aposté por la marca Wahl porque ya tuve uno y sirvió fenomenal, cosa que no sorprende porque un fabricante que da garantía de por vida (solo valido en EEUU pero bueno!) se esta tomando la calidad en serio. La unidad en mano se siente robusta, da confianza. Es cosa seria comparada con unas remington de plástico que tenia (que no me gustaron en absoluto) y trabaja mejor que una Cruzer 5. Los acabados que deja son muy buenos (para el resurado con un par de pasadas ya esta uno terminando) y es se maneja con naturalidad. Solo que no se puede usar mientras esté enchufado, pero francamente quien quiere lidiar con cables en la cara mientras se rasura? Lo único que faltaba es una mesita para acomodar los cabezales que uno usa a diario pero bueno, esto es un detalle sin importancia. También me pesa que Amazon le haya bajado 400 pesos desde que lo compré, pero bueno, valió la pena y lo recomiendo ampliamente

I use this 3-4 times per week and love it. The only minor issues are: - The body of the trimmer is smooth metal and slippery when my fingers are callous. - The heads are removed by tipping them backwards, but this not very secure. I have accidentally popped off heads and am hoping that I don’t destroy one in this manner. - The guides can be partially clipped in at times. I have not popped any off during trimming, but I am sure that I double check them before use. Otherwise this is a great kit with plenty of accessories and long battery life. Charges are quick and are lasting more than a month for me. As this nicer set replaces an older Wahl trimmer that died from battery failure (actually it was replaced under warranty), I will update if battery does not last. Wahl was great about replacing my older unit purchased at Walmart, with the replacement lasting about the same as the original.

My hair/beard grooming arsenal has varied with my age, style, and hairline, but there have been quite a few doodads, including 3 hair clippers, one bread trimmer, various cartridge-based blade shavers. This one device not only replaces them all, but does a better job than any of them. I find that astounding. The various attachments, including the beard trimmer, foil shaver, and nose/ear trimmer, actually work really well. So I just use this one machine to do everything. It does a better job at shaving my head than my corded Wahl hair clipper, which has been rendered obsolete. It took me several months to even try, but it ended up eating that task for breakfast. It is much easier to hold and guide around the scalp, shaves closer and comfortably, with no nicks/catches yet. It feels like this scale of device is much better for navigating the curves of the scalp. The foil shaver attachment actually shaves well and is comfortable, so I use that for unbearded facial regions. The nose/ear trimmer also… works comfortably. So we're all set! The battery life is great. I only have to plug it in about once a week. However the speed of the shaver goes down slowly over a session, and this is very perceptible. It's a slow, gradual lowering in the musical "note" that it makes when running. However, the lithium battery rebounds a bit by the next time you turn it on. I feel it has earned 5 stars by now. However there are some imperfections that are completely tolerable but would be great to fix. The wall-wart style charging adapter has an odd, proprietary connector so if it dies when you're traveling you'll probably be out of luck. USB charging would have been cool. The docking connection between shaver and attachments is at an angle, somewhat inscrutable, and makes it a stubborn affair to switch attachments. It always seems to make you try several times before it lets an attachment click in. And the clipper guides, all dumped into a bag and of different lengths, have hard-to-read, inconsistent labels. It makes selecting the correct guide - which is important not to mess up - a stressful affair. I just selected the two lengths I needed and threw them in the provided carry bag, leaving the rest of the chess set of plastic pieces in the box. Overall, this product is so game-changingly good that it actually improved my life by a perceptible amount. I'm just hoping that the battery gives a few years of service before dying, and that I don't lose or damage that AC adapter.
