South Shore Yodi Changing Table with Drawers, Soft Elm and White

Love the way it looks in the nursery. My grandson assembled it in 1.5 hours and his wife couldn't be happier. Drawers are perfect, shelves are filled with books and the color scheme blends in beautifully.Note: One shelf was broken during delivery and South Shore replaced it in 3 days. They are awesome!

This review is after using this dresser/changing table for 6 months nowLooks: honestly it looks really good. Looks better than other stuff on the market. So gets high score for thisAssembly: It will take half a day for assembly, not hard but needs like 4-6 hours.. I assembled it alone. HERE'S THE CATCH: 1) My package arrived missing an important part of the dresser so I had to wait a week for it to arrive to complete the assembly. Customer service was fine didn't have trouble replacing the piece. 2) My biggest problem with this product was that many times parts and pieces didn't allign perfectly, this didn't affect the overall look or function of the product but these things really annoy me. 3) Also no spare parts so if you lose a small part or if some knots break (this happened twice with me) you'll have to go through the hassle of contacting the company, more delays.Sturdiness and quality: ****PROBLEM****After a month of use, wood started peeling on only one part as you can see in the pictures.. yes the part was exposed to wetness once or twice but definitely not soaked! and we do clean it often. But cmon this is a changing table does the manufacturer expect it to be constantly dry?Sturdiness and quality:UPDATED AFTER 6 MONTHS OF USE:Quality is not good. The drawers still have this industrial smell, it sticks on the baby's clothes. I tried to air it which helped but did not remove the smell completely. Additionally, after only 6 months, this is starting to fall apart. After only one move across the room, the legs starting breaking off.. more peeling of the changing table.. When I was airing out the drawers it rained on them a bit and I took inside.. the drawers were ruined.. they wouldn't fit in the dresser again, the lining peeled.Overall quality: very disappointed honestly.Space: I found that the overall size is okay and storage is fine. Used all space. Don't expect extra space to be laying around.MOST IMPORTANTLY, Value for money:BAD! I would value this as maximum $150-180. Definitely not a cent moreOVERALL AFTER 6 MONTHS OF USE:Would NOT buy again. Would NOT recommend to a family or friend.

This dresser is very cute and modern. I assembled this is about 1.5hrs. The instructions were very easy to follow. I swapped out the handles because they looked like door stoppers but other than that I really like this product. It doesn’t feel sturdy if you try to drag it to move it but that’s ok since I won’t be moving it very often.

After reading the prior reviews, I thought - we are pretty good at putting together furniture - how hard could this really be??Well wrong. Very poor instructions (with errors) and took a LOOK time to build. Out of everything we have built, this was the worst by far!!!!! (Coming from my super smart and capable husband.) Flimsy - think IKEA - but worse particleboard. So completely overpriced!!!Am I happy with the look? Yes, that’s the only reason I picked it. Knowing what I know now though, I would not have picked it!!If you love the look (which I did) just know what you are going into, and be ready to dedicate at least half a day to building (if you are good) and are ok with subpar quality material.

I just opened the box and it’s not looking good. I’m trying to stay hopeful this isn’t going to completely ruin the build. I’ll update when I’m done.UPDATE: 3 hours later, here is the final product. Unfortunately the crack on the base it came with does show at the front. It’s noticeable. The drawers also touch at the top. I’m not certain there is anything I can do to fix that and if it has to do with the base not being straight.I built is myself but I do recommend two people when lifting and moving. I put soft pads at the bottom so I could move it on my own.All in all, it’s good for what I need it for. I’m a bit upset it came damaged and dented in several key and visible areas.

UPDATED REVIEW BELOW!!!Okay, so I’m giving this product 5 stars because it’s sturdy, simply beautiful and I love it in our nursery. However what you need to know is this. It doesn’t come flawless. There were a couple of pieces with dents or chips. Very small and most were hidden, but still. Also, you should be aware this product is A LOT of assembly required. I’m not kidding when I say set aside at least 2 hours for two people. My husband and I aren’t technical people but I like to think we’re capable and it took us a good 2.5 hours to figured it out. We had to backtrack a little two times because there are so many pieces. Overall though, love the result!This thing has literally fallen apart on me. We’ve used it for two years. The knobs fell off and won’t stay in, the doors are crooked and will not close without banging into each other, and the whole thing has begun to sag in the middle. I can barely open two drawers. It does not hold up one bit.

It is very nice and sturdy. Make sure you have plenty of room to assemble. There are some different size hardware that seems to all be jumbled up in the packages. Make sure you separate out the drawer packages separate till the end or you may use the wrong cam connectors unintentionally... Once it is together, it is very nice, but follow each step carefully.

The media could not be loaded.  It came with these scratches, as we we’re super careful unboxing and putting together. And the changing table part only connects in the back so it feels weird like it’s going to come off. Otherwise I like it
