Fits small, no arch support, slippery soles
I had read the other reviews stating the shoe fit small, so I ordered a half size larger than normal. While the shoe fits, and I will make do with it, I wish I had gotten a full size larger as the shoe fits snug at 1/2 size larger than normal. The shoes have very little arch support and are probably a bad choice for anyone who has had plantar fasciitis. The soles are slippery on certain surfaces (coated macadam being one example) and thus are probably not a good choice for some one who has trouble keeping their balance, and definitely should not be purchased by anyone who works in a restaurant or other work place where slippery floors are common. On the positive side the quality of construction looks good, and the shoe is attractive without being flamboyant. However, all in all I would not buy these shoes again, and at $35 the price is a little high given the shortcomings I have listed above.

Too short!
I have been wearing New Balance shoes for over a decade, and I know my size. I currently wear the New Balance Men's MW759 Country Walking Shoe in men's size 12 4E and the New Balance Men's MW577 White Walking Shoe also in men's size 12 4E. So when I ordered the New Balance Men's MT510 Trail Trail Running Shoe in men's size 12 4E I expected the same fit. What I got was too short. I have had these shoes since June 2016 I have tried a shoe stretcher I have wore then wet and had them dry on my feet but I can tell you that there is no breaking in a pair of shoes that apear to be a size too small. They are labeled men's size 12 4E but they do not appear to be that size.

Balance = comfort, price and durability
I have been wearing New Balance shoes for years because, for me, they balance comfort, price, and durability. They seem to fit my feet well, especially the arch shape and position, though I must buy them 1/2 size larger than my dress shoes. I am a cheap bastard, so I wear them until there is nothing left. They begin their life cycle as running shoes, graduate to "knock around" and finish as "shop/garden" before taking their place in the great shoe landfill in the sky. I have had my MT510s for three years. I transitioned them to "knock around" about two years ago and they are still hanging in there. I throw them in the washing machine once a month. My current shop shoes, a ten-year-old pair of 401s, began life as marathon training / running shoes, covering nearly 1000 miles before being demoted to knock-around use. I am probably on my tenth pair of New Balance shoes, MT610V4 trail runners, which I recently purchased on Amazon.

very comfortable
Overall great pair of shoes. This is my first time ordering something like shoes on Amazon, but I've had many pairs of New Balance in the past and the fit has always been consistent, so I was confident in the size I ordered. And they did fit just as expected. The shoes are very light and and the memory foam sole is extremely comfortable. But I do have to say that the first couple of days it was a bit odd how the foam felt on my feet - just think about what memory foam is supposed to do...it molds to whatever is pressing against it. So the bottom of your feet / toes mold into it which feels great, but the foam actually sort of slips between your toes as well. It kind of feels like your socks aren't on all the way and are bunched up. I didn't notice it when walking, but when I'd sit down I could feel it. After a couple of days it no longer bothers me (not sure if it's because it has molded to my feet better, or if I've just gotten used to it). Either way I've only had the shoes for about 10 days and I'm confident the feel will be good from now on.Overall they are of good quality, are comfortable, look good and all at a great price.

Item is just as expected.
Item is just as expected. I always buy New Balance because they have been very consistent in their sizing from shoe to shoe and they are especially for people who need better arch support. I have fallen arches and very wide feet which has lead to excruciating pain if I choose poor footwear. I have to also wear an orthotic to further support my arches. Typically, because of wearing orthotics and having wide feet, my shoes tend to completely fall apart if I don't have a shoe that comes in a 4E width. Since I wear carbon fiber orthotics and the fact that those are much thinner than other options, there are no issues with vertical room in the shoe. I love the memory foam option. Having this means if I happen to forget to wear my orthotics, my feet and arches don't take a complete pounding like other shoes.

Great walking shoe
I bought these for walking and every day wear. I am 75, and my knees and hips discourage me from running. I have occasionally tried competing brands, but always return to NB for a dependable fit and comfort. These are probably the best athletic shoes I have worn in many years, well worth their modest price. I wear them all day every day, and hope they outlast me.

Low cost well built shoe
Now I have not worn these for months and months to say that they will hold up but I think these are a typical New Balance shoe in that they fit great on my feet and seem to be will built. There are no odd creases nor a cheap feel when you step into them. Usually lower costing shoes only look good but feel like they put a cardboard bottom on the shoe. The insert of this show is probably better than most of the shoes I have ever bought and there is no sense that they are flimsy. I am not sure that I would use these for running trails as I believe that you do get what you pay for and when I am abusing my feet by running I want a top quality shoe on my feet. That is my personal preference rather than a statement that these shoes should not be used for running. But if New Balance prices these for less than some of their other running shoes I believe that there is a reason for that change in price other than a simple perception that the more expensive shoe is better built. As always you have to see if this brand works for your feet. For me there are only two brands that fit well on my feet and this is one of them. However, I bought these to be used as every day shoes as well as to walk on the trails by my house.
