Fits perfect with the Norse long hall I am decorating. I am very picky with the things I display in it. I make and carve most of the decorations. This Drakkar meets my high standards. Very well made. Two minor things I will be changing. The dragon head carving for the prow is well made but looks nothing like a Viking style. However, I knew that based on the pictures before buying. I will carve a suitable one and attach it. The shields are cast metal discs painted gold. They are well formed and shaped like authentic Viking shields though, so I will be painting them and keeping.Arrived on time and was packaged extremely well and safe. The ropes holding up the rigging were loose, but they were easy to tighten up. They are looped back on themselves and tied in a slip knot. All I had to do was grab the knot and slide it forward to tighten. Well thought out.Very pleased with it. Would recommend.Update....new picture after I painted the shields and carved a new dragon head

This is a beautiful model. It is very well made. Beautiful materials. It is a little smaller than I anticipated. The sail was also not as well done as hoped. The sail strings need some minor adjusting to get the sail to open properly, but no biggy. Overall, we were very pleased with it.

Absolutely beautiful model. The attention to quality and detail are on point. I was so impressed and in love with the quality, I decided it needed a display case. If you love the viking culture and Scandinavian history, you will love this model. The best model company I've come across with very reasonable price tags.

Wow, this ship is really amazing. The price is well worth what you receive. It truly is a hand made, detail oriented replica. The packaging is great and ensured that the ship got to me with no damage whatsoever. It included great unboxing instructions, and details on how to set up the ship. Very little is required other than removing the ship from the wooden crate, and placing it in your desired location. I absolutely love this ship, and will be buying more models from you guys in the near future. It makes for a great conversation piece, and an even better decoration. Definitely like this replica, and plan to keep it. Actually, arrived in reasonable time and was exceptionally packed. The manufacturer provided glue for parts that could understandably come lose during transport, which they did, and were fixable. The overall model is great, but there was a small part that had been broken off that was no where to be found. Also, definitely not entirely as pictured. The "strings" are loose and hang instead of being taunt as pictured. Also, some things are slightly different than represented. Oh well...

nails from shield retaining plank protrude on inside of hull, would be nice to have had a rigging plan and proper cleats and blocks as well as "rope"., am sure it can be be bought from Model Expo, they are very helpful.

My wife is of Norwegian decent and she has wanted one of these on the mantle for years. She is thrilled with the quality and authenticity of this fine model. It is indeed an "instant heirloom"!
