For only $25 this is a great set of tools. The people who say the scissors aren't sharp don't know what they're talking about. It's true the scissors do not cut paper, they're specifically made for cutting and trimming plants. They do exactly what they are supposed to do and they deliver fresh clean cuts. The only thing negative I have to say about this set is that the curved tweezers don't have a tight grasp which made it difficult to plant my hair grass. After some time of practicing, it became easier as I had to learn how much pressure was needed to plant fine rooted plants. Other than that, the set was great. It's made from quality material and they got the job done. Very satisfied for the price.

I received this aquascaping toolset extremely impressed with the quality of every piece. The packaging was good - the whole kit came inside the depicted black, rugged cloth bag, and each piece was wrapped in their own plastic bag to prevent scratching against each other.I was looking for a toolkit that included wave/curve scissors to help me trim my carpeting plants down low to the substrate, as well as narrow-tipped pincettes to replace my reptile feeding tongs for planting those extremely small, delicate foreground plants that my tongs were a bit too wide and clumsy to plant with. This tool set is exactly what I was looking for. Both the straight and curved pincettes are perfectly aligned at the tips and come to almost needle-like points to make easy work and handling of the tiniest of plants. The scissors are very sturdy and pretty sharp. Every piece in this kit feels stiff, light, and durable. They are a delight to work with, and my regular maintenance with my aquascapes has become extra enjoyable with this tool set.And at a very nice price! Highly recommended!

I use these on my saltwater tank and they’ve made cleaning, cutting, churning substrate and saving the odd upside down snail so much easier. The tools are sturdy but elegant. I even used a magnetic strip on the inside of my tank stand to hide these safely away with almost no footprint.The multiple shapes/angles make getting into tight or delicate spaces very easy and convenient. The scissors aren’t as sharp as I’d like, but for algae, they more than suffice. I would not frag a coral with it’s blade.All that said, utility and simplicity. For the price and the purpose I use them for, I recommend!

This works well, very nice quality too. There is a glaring issue though: there is no blade cover. You need to disassemble the blade after every use or risk an ER visit next time you reach for it. I'm kind of lost on how this essential component was overlooked.

These tools are great! They do not rust, however, don't leave them covered in moisture. I thoroughly dry mine after each use and hang them to dry. Not a speck of rust so far. The scissors are sharp and the tweezers are sturdy and work very well at grasping small items in hard to reach places. Money well spent! Highly recommended.

Very nice looking and well-made tools. I am familiar with surgical instruments because of my job and these scissors and tongs look and feel of similar quality with a nice matte black finish. I didn’t realize how disruptive my aquarium gardening could be until I got these awesome tools. I have a brand new 60 gal with a canister filter that I plan on setting up as an aquascape before adding any fish, but in the mean time I have two 10 gallon tanks that I’ve been steadily stocking with plants (unless my snails taking a liking to them) and finally have some bigger plants like Madagascar lace so these tools have been super helpful when pruning leaves that are are long as they are!

This set of tools is the one you are looking for. The tweezers are perfect, very narrow point with grip serrations. I have the tweezers from ADA and have been looking for another brand of the same quality. The scissors are top notch too, they arrive sharp and cut along the entire length of the blades. I am recommending these to anyone who can't afford the ADA tools. If this included the wave scissors for a little more this set would deserve 6 stars.Edit, the tool set is now just an algae scraper. I don't like these scrapers. I don't think it is right to change the product over a review. Removed 3 stars for the crappy tool substitute. The original tool set still has 5 stars should it return to this spot.Edit. the original tool set is back and the stars are back. These have quickly become some of my favorite aquascaping tools. I recommend getting one of the acrylic racks that attach to an aquarium to keep them handy. I also saw a set of wave scissors is now available as a separate purchase, I might have to get them to complete the set.

I bought these in particular because of the black. Honest truth there. I do love my tools but ive noticed some of the tools are starting to rust. Ive had these tools a few months now. I use them 1-3 times a week. They feel sturdy, look good and get the job done overall.
