Zippo Brushed Chrome Slim Pocket Lighter

This is an awesome little lighter. I've wanted a Zippo for a long time and decided to buy this slimmer version so that it would fit in my pocket or bag better. I actually expected it to be thinner than the original size Zippos, and was surprised at how small it is. Not small in a hard-to-handle way, but more narrow all around. It really is a great size for your pocket, or for people with smaller hands, but it's still just as easy to handle as the original size. And of course it has that infamous Zippo high quality. It's easy to fill, easy to handle, and an overall excellent lighter, especially for this price.

This is a beautiful, well made lighter. The narrow version is much nicer for every day carry (less bulky), but just as solid as the original. Smooth action. Lights every time. Much more reliable than a standard bic style lighter and stays lit for starting camp fires, candles, etc without burning your hand. :)

It works better if before you use it, you dissasemble and reassemble. My wick was bunched up and I couldn't pull anymore up and the kid who stuffed it (sarcasm is never a good idea) was a strong one who really compacted the cotton. Once the wick was not balled up at the top and the 1 1/2 inch of cotton wasn't packed into a 1/4 inch cotton pearl, it worked much better. Got enough wick exposed and frayed just a bit and then a little char, it lights every time.

I like this zippo. Out of all my zippos, this one comes along when I wish to travel light or I have other heavy items to carry in my pockets. It doesn't hold as much fluid as my large ones, obviously, but it does the job of lighting things on fire. I don't like that it does feel kind of chintzy because there's simply not as much metal to grab on to, and the hinge is slightly loose. The noise it makes is definitely a *click* as opposed to the classing *CLINK* that larger Zippos make. The lighter seems to give off a smaller flame as the fluid dries up at the end of a fill up, my large zippos do not exhibit this. They simply light the same as always, then when they're empty, they don't light at all. There's never a dead give away that they're low on fluid. This can be seen as either a good or bad thing i suppose. I also don't like that it doesn't last as long as I'd like it to. You would be wise to not take it on a 3 day excursion somewhere with no backup, even if filled to the brim. My 1941 replica can go for weeks without needing to be refilled, this one I simply don't trust like that. All in all, I like it. For a day outing, or overnight 2 days. It doesn't see as much use as I thought it would since my 1941 replica is just...an amazing zippo, my absolute favorite. The textured black model is a close second just because it won't scratch and is super robust. But, for those days where I'm carrying my camera gear and a knife and small Leatherman in my pocket, change and all kinds of other crap, I definitely use it and it definitely comes in handy weight wise.

I bought this lighter considerably a long time ago I think 2021. I can’t tell you how awful it is. I can fill it up and it will light and if I set it down and go to use it again two hours later it won’t work. I have tried putting a new wick and flint in it. Nothing helps this lighter. It is just a lemon. It is small. I thought it would be great because it was smaller. It isn’t. It is a waste of money. Do not buy this. I have had other zippers that I like, but the small one forget it. I can’t even give us a one star to be honest with you.

Works as expected and is selling at such a good price, I really have nothing to complain. But potential buyers take note if you use your lighter often you might want to consider the normal version instead of the slim version as it does not hold as much fuel.

Nowhere as good as a standard Zippo :-((
