Carefully following instructions, I was able to make a repair on a faux leather jacket. If you look at the picture provided, the repair is in the center of the photo. The tear was in a semicircle about an inch across. The kit made the jacket usable again, but I'm dubious about how well it will hold up over time. The color match is pretty good. However, the "grain paper" stuck to the repair (no matter how carefully I removed it) and it was necessary to do a little bit of touch up with a sharpie pen. Overall, I give it about a three rating because watching videos of other, more expensive kits, I can see this one leaves a lot to be desired. but if you're only doing a repair on something not that expensive, it may be just the ticket.

Didn't fill well, cut looks the same except now it's black in color. Serves me right not drilling down into the reviews to realize the 4.5 stars were for another product. Basically finished with the same repair I could do with a sharpie

Patching material stuck to pattern sheet (provided in lit). Surface of leather was removed in some areas (see light brown areas in photo). In other areas, pattern sheet stuck to couch (see white areas in photo).

Product instructions not clear on fixing rips in vinyl - color matching almost impossible - try another product if you need good results.
