Pyrex Smart Essentials 2.5-Quart Glass Mixing Bowl

Not really anything new to say about Pyrex…it’s a great product and ample storage for leftovers, vegetable salads, soups and fruits!

Very useful size clear glass Pyrex bowl and lid. Lid is a great idea. Lid can be used over and over again and snaps on tightly. Eliminates wasting clear plastic wrap. Glass is the best storage container. Will buy in other sizes. Hope this helps.

I needed an additional large bowl for certain recipes.

Knew Pyrex was a dependable item.

The product is fantastic but why is there a sticker on the lid that I can’t readily remove?! See picture attached — it is super frustrating. This is why it is only a three star rating.

Love the lid

I was down to my last medium sized Pyrex bowl when I decided to by 3 of these 2.5 quart mixing bowls with lids.I love grits and eggs for breakfast and nearly everyday I mix two bags with a cup of water and microwave it while I fry up a couple of eggs and mix them in the bowl of grits with some butter and pepper.I eat them right out of the bowl then wash the bowl in the dishwasher and the plastic lid on the upper rack of the same.These bowls get hot and are known to break if you use them incorrectly. Never set a hot Pyrex bowl on a cold counter or metal grates of a stove. The sudden and vast change of temperature will likely cause them to break and if the lids are washed on the lower section of the dishwasher, they may melt.On the other hand, if you place the hot dish on a pad designed to keep hot pots, pans, and bowls from marring the countertops you will enjoy these handy bowls for years to come.I recommend these microwave safe bowls and lids to family, friends, and others whether they like grits or not.Enjoy!

You really can't go wrong if you're looking for high quality, sturdy, and temp-resistant glass bowls. And the lids save on elastic wrap, which is bad for the environment and poor sea turtles in particular.
