Once We Figured It Out...
The kit came with everything needed to assemble - except instructions on how to assemble! Luckily, we are a pretty smart bunch of gals (both of my adult daughters and me, their Momma) so we finally figured it out, after trial and error - and in spite of one of the lens covers cracking. Here's what made our kaleidoscopes turn out so nicely: 1. self-adhesive "glitter" paper (instead of using tape to "attach" the standard paper included in the kit, we used Dollar Tree's "Crafter's Square" line of vinyl paper rolls - in the cutting machine craft section) 2. better-quality stickers 3. a selection of colorful glass beads from my own stash. The plastic beads that came in the kit were simple & "dull" so if you choose to use your own beads, make sure they are clear, colorful, and **small**! We also needed to peel the protective film from the mirrors before taping them together in a triangular form (mirrors facing each other). If you don't tape the mirrors together they will eventually collapse onto each other and you'll wind up taping them together anyways. The plastic lens, bead cover & end cap arrive "together" so before you place your beads in the end cap, make sure you pull out the single plastic cover that goes over the beads (and which also has a protective film to be removed). Important note: if you use **large** beads the plastic cover will crack from the pressure when you place the end cap onto the tube. And, as other reviewers have mentioned, the 3 tubes are NOT the same length (so if you have "picky" kids, just know up front there may be some squabbling about "who gets which one"😊). All-in-all, we enjoyed putting these together. We made lots of great memories that will come to mind whenever we look through our 'scopes. It truly was fun to decorate them and to experiment with various bead colors, sizes, and transparency... maybe we will make this an annual Christmas tradition!

Thoughtfully designed Kaleidoscope kit that works well & fun product for kids into crafts.
Got this for my kid to build and play with it. Overall we are satisfied with it. It is fairly easy to build & I would recommend this to anyone. My 2 cents below: Pros: - Very functional Kaleidoscope making kit overall - Enables creativity opportunities for the kids - Easy to use and learn - Overall good quality item - Very reasonably priced for the fun that comes along with it Cons: - No usage instructions are provided at all. I had to check the Amazon listing to check steps - The paper that goes on the tube is not self adhesive while the listing says that. I need to apply glue to stick them and help my kid

Great Value, Fun Craft
This was a very fun and easy craft. I got this for my kids (ages 4 and 6) to complete with my sister's kids (ages 5 and 7), and they were able to put everything together with a little bit of help. There are **no instructions** so you have to look at the ones in the listing photo. Also, there are 2 different sizes of tubes, so you have to match the paper wrappers to the correct size. The wrappers and stickers aren't as nice as they look in the photos, so that was a bit of a bummer. The hardest part of the entire process is peeling the film off **both sides** of the plastic disc that holds the gems in the cup. It was nice that everything can be assembled without glue or scissors, too. For the price, it's a fantastic craft.

Good supplies but no instructions
The kaleidoscope kits came with all the supplies and were relatively easy to put together. However, there were no directions only the supplies. You have to look at the advertisement for the item for the directions on how to make them. It would make so much sense to have a paper with directions come with the kaleidoscope kit.

Kaleidoscopes aren't worth the price
These kaleidoscopes come with no directions on how to assemble them. They also come in two different sizes, 4 inches and 7 1/2 inches in length. Unfortunately, the outside decorative paper is all the same size, 4 inches in length. This does not do justice to the longer size. I cut paper for the longer ones in order to make them passable. The only way to manipulate them is to turn them as a unit. If you try and turn the end, holding the beads, it fall off. Pretty flimsy at best and definitely not worth $3 each!

Entertaining and easy to assemble. Buy it!
These were so entertaining! The kit came with everything to make three beautiful kaleidoscopes. (Except instructions) A quick search on the internet found videos with comparable pieces for step by step assembly. My 3 and 6 year old grandchildren were able to follow along with me to assemble their own. I used scotch tape to adhere the paper and link the three mirrors together. However, the stickers provided could have worked the same. I thought the stickers were to decorate the paper. I found all the pieces to be well made. I was impressed with the quality of the product and found it to be a great value. I would purchase this again. Tips: remove film on the mirrors after linking the three from the back. They form a prism. They fit snuggly in the matching length tube. In one cap there's a clear disc to secure the beads in between the end piece. The disc prevents the beads from falling out. The end pieces fit snuggly. If you turn the paper so it doesn't cover the tube at the ends, the end caps fit a little better and won't wrinkle the paper. If you have confetti or beads of your own you can add these to change the effect.

Surprisingly Gorgeous DIY Kaleidoscopes — With a Few Flaws
I bought this kit not expecting much, but it turned out to be a great little activity. It comes with three kaleidoscopes the kids can build themselves, and once assembled, the visuals are absolutely beautiful. The mirrors create a stunning effect, and even though I was worried at first because the included beads weren’t transparent, they ended up working perfectly — the patterns were vivid and mesmerizing. A few minor downsides: some of the plastic end covers had light scratches, but those didn’t really affect the view when looking through the kaleidoscope. The decorative paper that wraps around the outside was underwhelming — not only thin and unimpressive in design, but it also didn’t fully cover the length of the cardboard tube on a couple of them. Still, the kids were amazed, had fun building them, and it sparked a lot of curiosity. Pro tip: make sure to remove the protective film from the mirrors before assembly — otherwise, you won’t get that clear, sparkly reflection.

Peel the plastic film off!
I was hesitant to buy these because of the reviews saying the mirrors were not reflective enough. I even went out and bought chrome craft paper to wrap around them. Then when I was repositioning the paper, a plastic film peeled off with it. The mirrors are super shiny a reflective and work perfectly! There's also a film on both sides of the plastic disc that holds the beads in the end. So make sure to peel all that off first! Instructions would be helpful but they're not too hard to figure out. I will say, I ordered 3 sets and for some reason 2 are shorter than the rest? And some of the little sticker sheets are missing. But I'm leaving it at 5 stars because I think the ratings are lower than they should be because some people couldn't figure out the assembly.
