Can you buy just the screw-in stay handle

I bought this brush but had to return it as it broke as soon as i screwed the two parts of the handle together however I had bought one a few months previously (over a year ago) and its fine! it may have been a one off.

I need an outside broom that is lightweight as I have a bad shoulder. Anyone know how heavy this is?

Does anyone know how to secure the handle once extended? Just slips up and down as soon as pressure applied and nothing I can see can prevent this?

once you have extended the broom to the required length, holding one section in each hand, twist right hand clockwise until it locks.

Looking to use on laminated wood effect floor would this be suitable?
