FREESEA 740 GPH 50W Submersible Pump for Aquariums, Pond, Fountain, Fish Tanks

I had a non traditional use for this little but powerful pump. I needed to put together a water cooling system for my CCD camera. The OEM for the CCD camera no longer offers the cooling kit as the CCD camera is no longer in production. Back when I purchased the CCD camera I added the water cooling option for the it and I waited to by the water cooling kit. Things in life change. I moved to take another job and just forgot about the kit.Recently, I decided to add the water cooling to get the most out of my CCD camera and i set about locating the necessary hardware such as a pump, tubing 9two different diameters and a adapter to connect the pump and CCD cameras water nipples.I only hoped the water pump I selected had enough power to push the water up from the reservoir to and through the camera and back down. This pump has plenty of power and not so much that it would damage my CCD camera. So it fit the bill exactly!

This is a nice little pump. It is study and powerful. However, it shuts on and off at random times. I sent the first one back because of this flaw, thinking it was broken. The replacement I received acts the same way. I'm getting ready to return it.

I installed the pump with ease just like other reviewers stated. Optional fitting sizes were convenient and fit well. Turned it on and started working with a low noise level. My aquarium looked good for a day... then it started to overheat and turned off. It cycled every 10 minutes.There was no restrictions to flow for suction or kinked hoses. Temperature was 78F. Pump never got warm to the touch.This may work well with a pond or fountain, but I would not recommend to a friend or use this for an aquarium if you want to keep your fish alive. This is not a reliable pump.Don’t waste your money. There are better options available for a similar price. I’m going to spend a few dollars more and get a pump with better reviews.

Super quiet. And exceeds my expectations of what I was looking for. Also fit perfectly in my nano reef tank. This was a upgraded pump from the standard 211gph that came with the tank. The pump gave me that extra water flow I was looking for. I would highly recommend for the price.

Very strong and sturdy pump already order and re ordered another for saltwater mix and to use one for the yards pond very well recommended very good product

Has excellent power for the water features I'm doing!! Compared to the other brands I've tried, FREESEA really pushes the water!! I'll only buy FREESEA.... GREAT PUMP!

like one other reviewer, my pump shuts on and off at random. turns out it automatically does then when it's overheating. well it seems to overheat a lot. i would not buy this item again because of this flaw.... i've only had the pump one month and am going to replace it with something less finicky....
