My old garage door opener gave out after 30 years. Easy to program this one and it works like a charm!

Bought this not knowing which Genie model I have but only that it looks exactly like my existing remote. And it works!! Installation was very straightforward and instructions were included. Three suggestions for you if you buy this: 1. I saw that it said the Learn button would be under the light panel. For my model. The Learn button was on the back and I could reach it without a ladder. 2. You will need to make sure you are standing in front of the mounted unit when following the instructions. This might seem obvious to some but it was not to me. Thought I had a dud until I saw someone mentioned this. 3. The remote might have a battery already inside. I almost broke this open only to discover that it came with a battery. Just push the button to verify. All in all a great price for an item that does what it should!!

Works great!!! I needed a new remote for my Genie 3060L, i tried a universal and it wouldnt woork. Tried for the 3 days to one that worked. So, i found this remote on Genie’s site, for alot more. Got this one in today, took it in the garage, hit the learn button on the motor, hit the remote button like 3 times, and it worked, all done in less than 5 minutes. Thanks!!!

This is like “Programming new garage door remote to opener for Dummies”. Hardest part was getting the ladder out; second hardest part was hunting the screw I dropped ( have to remove two screws to remove the light shade to get to the programming button). I even replaced the burned out light bulb while into the system. If you order the correct unit (read codes of the remote which has quit working) then you will be happy with the results. Came securely packaged and delivered on the date specified.

We have the Genie Accelerator and I determined the remote button was going bad after all these years as a new battery did not fix it. If I pressed it really hard, it would work. I found this one and worked perfectly after programming it to the opened by pushing the learn button on the garage door opened, and pressing the button on the remote three times. It seems to have better range than the original as can open it 2-3 houses away as approaching the garage. If you get it, press the button to see if the red light comes on. If so, then all that is left is program it, to match the door opener. The one I received, did not have the M23/24 battery installed in the small cover opening on the back, as appears the battery is in the main body of the remote. I did open the small cover and was empty, but the red light still came on when the button was pressed, so that is not where the battery is located. When the battery does go out some day, I will then figure out how to replace it. For now though, perfect replacement at a lot less the Genie wants for one with their logo stamped on it.

Very easy to sink and a lot cheaper than other options. My only concern is the button cell battery (CR2032). My experience is that they fail sooner than the small "n"? battery we've had for years. Left one star off because you can't account for longevity; not just the battery but the unit itself.

My old remote, for that door, was not working well, and finally quit for good. I was worried if I could even install a replacement or if I should call someone to do it for me. So glad I finally decided I was a handy enough person and should at least try. Good decision! The directions were simple and It was so easy to open the overhead door light and program the new remote by just pushing a button. My only concern was climbing the ladder, at 82, to do it. Works beautifully even from halfway up our longish driveway.

This works great! I used it to replace a broken garage door opener. It works well with our Genie II garage door. The price was good, thus why I ordered.
