How will it work on Xbox series x

Connect the base station with the headset docked and the switch on PC, install the command center software. Update the firmware. Then you can switch it back to xbox and connect the USB to the back of your Series X or Series S and enjoy the audio and chat through the USB Hope this helps

Yes. The naming of the options is not very intuitive. All the options come with the base station as this is required to charge the headset. The only possible exceptions would be ones sold by the warehouse.
