This is one of those products that I completely understand the hype around because it truly does work very well for dry, irritated, over-processed, or compromised skin areas. The texture is rich, soothing, and very protective without having a strong fragrance, which I appreciate because heavily scented skincare products usually irritate my skin immediately. I have found this especially helpful for dry patches, irritation from weather, over-exfoliation, and areas where the skin barrier simply feels stressed or uncomfortable. A very small amount goes a long way and the tube itself lasted much longer than I expected. That being said, for me personally this product is simply too heavy to use regularly on my face because I am somewhat breakout-prone with richer creams. While it feels incredibly soothing, I personally prefer using it more selectively on very dry or irritated areas rather than as an all-over facial moisturizer. The packaging arrived perfectly sealed with no leaking or damage during shipping and the product looked exactly as expected upon arrival. For the amount you receive and how little is needed per use, I also think the value is very good compared to many other barrier repair creams. Purchased since it was recommended by a dermatologist, and now I know why!! As someone who has to wash my hands and use hand sanitizer all the time at work (healthcare), my hands have become increasingly more dry and irritated. Especially during the winter months. This is the BEST thing I've used for moisturizing my hands. It makes an INCREDIBLE difference in not only how my skin looks, but how much better it makes my hands feel. There is no floral/strong fragrance, but it does have a subtle (medicinal?) scent to it- very tolerable as someone who cannot handle fragrances/scents well. It's thick, creamy, and keeps my hands feeling so much better for so much longer than other moisturizers!

Its SUPER thick! Its a great lotion. I have very sensative dry skin and had no bad reaction to this. Its definitely hydrating. You literally only need a little dab because its sooo thick.

My skin is extra dry and I love the feeling that this balm gives me. I noticed that the regular b5 balm seems to have a different formulation compared to the one that is called “soothing therapeutic” and so I have specifically bought this one because I love the texture. I like going to bed with the thick layer on top of all my serums and retinol.
