Short life and difficult to change
It is shocking that these expensive batteries only last 2 years even with the usual precautions. For my Dell Inspirion you need to be quite courageous changing the battery with lots of screws, wires, levering and prizing. Not a simple battery unlock and slide like other laptops. So look at a few YouTube clips first.

Battery capacity not matching up to advertised numbers, but Seller is A+++++ fantastic
I have not had any interactions with this Seller. I think it was the actual manufacturer/factory's fault as far as this incorrect advertisement goes, and not that of the Seller. Now, I'm not a computer expert, but I do feel I know some things about computers and I'm willing to learn.I am usually plugged in to the wall so batt life was not an issue, but I noticed that when I opened up the computer to do some dusting, the OEM battery was swollen to the point where the screws were overtight, and it was impacting on the motherboard -- HP says it's not going to blow up, but advises strongly to replace ASAP.This is actually the 2nd of 2 batteries I bought off Amazon. I got the 1st battery from another vendor on Amazon, and I've had pretty much the exact same issue with both batteries being potentially mislabeled/misadvertised.The original HP OEM battery's specs are: 41,000 mWh, 5150 mAh, 7.7 volts. These specs are what is advertised on the Amazon listing, and labeled physically on the battery. To check the actual stats, I used the HP Support Asst, HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows, and a Battery Report generated in Win 10 through command prompt> powercfg /batteryreport.After numerous calibrations and dis/charges (including uninstalling the Battery ACPI driver and removing the battery, etc) , I could only get to a max about 34,000 mWh (instead of 41,000) and ~4400 mAh (instead of 5150 mAh), and then it started degrading little by little bit -- since full dis/charges do degrade the battery life. Even if the battery was a lemon, the Design Capacity of the battery was factory capped at 4600 mAh instead of 5150, so the battery is not a 5150 mAh battery to begin with.Actual battery life performance - it's hard to say because I am usually plugged in to the wall. But I do remember when I first got this computer, I was getting abotut 4 hours off the OEM battery, and with this battery, I'm getting about 2 hours. I do not really recall exactly if the load was different in the comparisons, and I might very well be walking in to this with a negative bias about the battery, but it does feel significantly shorter in battery life.So after this 2nd battery from another Amazon vendor showing pretty much the exact same issues in every regard, I am thinking that most if not all of these sellers get their batteries from the same MFR/factory and just put different labels on it. I'm not blaming the Seller though. So I figured that my only courses of action are to either:1)try yet another Amazon vendor claiming OEM specs2)actually pay up and buy an OEM HP battery3)live with it.I ended up getting tech support through Amazon, not really expecting much, but the Amazon rep did give me a partial rebate, which I'm willing to live with. So if you just need a battery replacement to tide you over, go ahead and get this battery, but would not expect OEM life/duration from this battery.------edited 12-7-2018----The seller has been absolutely fantastic in their communique, and I felt that their sincerity towards 100% customer support throughout has been exemplified with complete satisfaction on my end. Their email responses and queries were expedient and very supportive, and it was an utter pleasure to deal with this seller -- which is not an all too common experience with other Amazon sellers. How amazing was this seller, you ask? Well, I have upgraded my star rating to a full 5 stars from 2 stars based upon my interaction with the SELLER. The seller has chosen to take a loss and refunded my purchase amount as well as sending me a 2nd battery in addition to the one that I already have; and coupled with the amazing communication, I can only say 2 thumbs up for this seller. The battery, despite it not lasting as long as the OEM, has been rock solid -- I have periodically measured battery life, voltage, mAh, mWh and temperatures for the past couple weeks, and it has been satisfactory. Thank you again, ANTIEE for your amazing customer support, and I would definitely choose you as the Amazon Seller, if you have the product that I wanted in the future, again and again.
