The cable on the release broke. Replaced it with this one. Easy to install, functional and much cheaper than getting from the dealer.

Perfect for for my 2001 Tahoe
The cable was an exact fit, took about 3 minutes to install and worked perfectly. Huge savings over the dealer part and fast shipping!

Fits Perfectly.
Works great. Inespensive repair. New one was easier to put in than taking out old one. Got it on Amazon for $25 less than parts store wanted and only had to wait 3 more days. Well worth the price for value of product. Cable inside seems to be of good quality.

Perfect fit
Remove the release lever first. Then spin the cable housing to access both cable housing release tabs. Check out the new one to see the tabs and you’ll understand. Long nose needle nose pliers are the best to compress both tabs and pop it up and out. To install the new one just push it in till it snaps in. Hook the cable end to the bracket and bolt on release lever.

Great value, works great!
I’m a single female somewhat handy but not with cars. My parking brake cable snapped but luckily I was still at home. And after spending thousands of bucks in the last year for repairs on my 2008 Tahoe. I knew I wanted to save money and try to repair this myself if able. So I watched a YouTube video, ordered this (which is not the correct one for my car btw and I knew this) but I removed the new cable from the new handle, removed the remaining old cable from the existing old handle, and installed the new cable to my existing old handle. Long story short, now it works perfectly! Damn I’m good!
