Happy with Knitting Board
I purchased the long knitting board and was able to complete a medium sized sweater coat in under 40 hours. I'm not the fastest, but learning to use the knitting board was easy with the DVD. When I only followed the instruction manual, I knitted incorrectly. So use the DVD. I will probably get the smaller board later because the larger board is really long, although I was able to take it on an airplane (it passed security) and continue my project. The board was easy enough for my 6 yr old daughter and for my husband to knit. You can also do single knitting (using only one row of needles), but I had to check other websites to figure out how to do that. My project would have gotten done faster if I only did single knitting, but the double knit fabric makes for a warmer, thicker garment.

Skip, Skip, Skip to my loom!
This is the favorite of my loom books along with one other. At first, my fault, I bought what I thought was the 'wrong book' because I did circle looms only & I am kinda scared to try to do the knitting board but love the looming process so much that I bought the all in one loom so I can try to do both round and board projects. This book explains very clearly along with pictures a step by step sequence. after going through this book it makes me less wary of trying the board! Really interesting process and explained very clearly! Looking forward to starting the projects. Thank you, now I'm really glad I got it!

Well written & illustrated techniques
Well written. Great illustrations. This book was essential for me to use my new All In One knitting loom, as the included instructions with the loom were poor. I appreciate the convenience of carrying it in my stitching satchel, for a quick reference. (vs being tied to the computer for YouTube videos)Since I am new the world of Loom Knitting, it provides me the excellent instructions for the DOUBLE KNITTING EASY patterns. And the patterns do progress to Advanced. The only drawback was, that the book does not provide instructions for Single Knitting stitches & patterns.

The best loom knitting book I have purchased.
This is one of the best books I have read on look board knitting that I have read. If this is your first book on look knitting then you have made a great choice.

Mostly fantastic
Clear, good quality pages/illustrations, and well-organized. Been using this with my new All-in-One Knitting Board and having lots of fun. The only thing I would have liked to see is more diversity of projects… Perhaps a cowl, infinity scarf, some single knit ideas/instructions, or a knitting-in-the-round project. There are a few projects (like the hat and scarf combos) that seem mildly redundant.Other than that, this book is fairly comprehensive --from button holes, to plackets, to how to crochet a drawstring. It's all there.

Full of good information
I borrowed this book from the library, but there was so much information that I didn't want to give the book back. The photos and descriptions were clear and concise, and easy to follow. The photos with different colors of yarn for different rows made the steps very clear for me. This book shows that there is a lot you can do with a knitting board. (I could knit and crochet before reading this book, I was just new to knitting boards.)

Clear Instructions. Brilliant!
Having started out with a different book, which was as clear as mud, I bought this one, and was so impressed, I also bought one of their Authentic Wooden Knitting Boards ([...]in Canada) to replace my plastic one. A Model KB120 28in via Amazon Marketplace, and I'm really having fun working my way through samplers of all the stitches. The book is specifically for double sided looms, called Knitting Boards, and the resultant double knits are lovely in texture, unlike what you get from the circular plastic looms (aka Rakes). The advantage of the KB Board I'm now using is that it is adjustable, it is far less strain on the fingers than a plastic one, and the results are high quality. The book also contains snippets of wisdom that help you know when to improvise. I strongly recommend this book, even if you only have a plastic Knitting Board.
