I have a knife slash about 10 inches. Will this kit be enough to fix it?

I dont know about 10 inches. I fixed my wife Mustang convertible where the seam was on both sides. Its a temporary fix. So far lasted 2 years. The seam came undone about 4 inches.

is it work on canvos top too? I have an old mercedes.

I would not recommend this to repair a canvas top of a Mercedes. Have it repaired professionally.

Are the patches black?

They are black patches. I found that they did not last very well, maybe only a month before they came off. I would not buy this again.

The fabric is coming loose from frame-will this work to glue back to frame?

No, it is just for waterproofing seams, not strong enough to hold any tension.
