Brand New 4K Master! From Umberto Lenz, notorious director of such Euro-sleaze classics as Paranoia, Seven Blood-Stained Orchids, Spasm, Eyeball and Cannibal Ferro comes Nightmare Beach, a shockingly gory tale of a madman in a motorcycle helmet who is taking out young co-eds all over the sparkling sands of South Florida during Spring Break. As the body count creeps up, Miami detective John Saxon (A Nightmare on Elm Street, Black Christmas, Evil Eye) tries to keep ahead of the curve in this carnage-packed slasher gem from the maestro of macabre. Featuring a rollicking score by Goblin’s Claudio Simonetta (Suspire, Dawn of the Dead, The Heroin Busters) and co-starring the great Michael Parks (Kill Bill: Vol. 1 & 2 and TV’s Then Came Bronson). Special Features: -Audio Commentary by Film Historian Sam Dhegihan -Nightmare Rock: Interview with Composer Claudio Simonetta -Includes both English and Italian Audio -Theatrical Trailer

Replacement was perfect.
Original had broken case. It's the publisher's fault not Amazon. Replacement was perfect. Great film also.

Top 10 80s horror
Fantastic 80s film. Top 10 slasher adjacent 80s films for me. Sits up there with Killer Workout for awesome 80s vibe and great/bad storyline + acting. Awesome film!

More of a daymare
It's ok. The musical score has to be heard to be believe.Saxon is taking a paycheck for this one. I was expecting more nightmare and less talking.

Guilty Pleasure for some strange reason because it shouldn't be
I'll admit I watched the Artisan dvd version of Welcome to Spring Break way back, and I hated the movie. The image quality was low. No extras. Lackluster slasher. Few kills. That's why I hesitated to check out the Kino version. I'm glad I did.Nightmare Beach aka Welcome to Spring Break is a failure in many ways. It's late in the slasher cycle. It's easy to figure out who the killer is. The killings are just okay, since they're mostly connected with the electrocution motif. What wins me over this time is the "caricature" quality of the film. It's almost self-aware in some ways. 'We know this script sucks, and we know the slasher concept has been done to death, but who cares? We'll throw in some cool cheesy metal and '80s music, random scenes of wild spring break shenanigans, and make the stereotypical bad and good guys as cliché and over-the-top as possible, and to heck with it'.This movie jams; the music, seriously. I'm bobbing my head as I watch. And it's almost like the stuff happening around the killings, like the side stories of nobody characters, the super mean John Saxon cop character, and the biker gang "Goblins", keep things rolling. At its heart, it's a desperate Italian-made, wannabe American slasher that's weak in many ways but entertaining in its quaint failures. If you've seen them all, I still way there's much worse out there, easy.

Surprise slasher.
I have a large collection of movies most of them horror, including almost all of the slasher and video nasty films so I was surprised that this one really was an entertaining movie. The premise or plot informed me that this was just another slasher come jump scare journey in fact I enjoyed every moment of it,and yes your figure out who the killer is long before the end but what the heck it was totally watchable throughout, even the deaths are gory for a 15 rated movie,do not take my word for it check it out you might be surprised.

Great transfer
I thought the movie was just fair, great transfer though. It's a fun 80's slasher, but not in the top echelon of the genre by any stretch.
